👋
Hey all! Just checking to see if there’s any interest (weather permitting) in a Moab trip Feb 16-19
I’m going to be picking up my rig from Slee in Denver on 2/16, and thinking I may just head straight to Moab for a little field testing
Has anybody modified their window switches to work when the truck is turned off? Any idea what this would take?
It would be nice to be able to easily roll windows down/up when sleeping inside without having to climb up front to turn on the ignition.
I had been planning to install GMRS in my 200, but it turns out my local club uses ham. Slee is going to have my truck pulled apart next month, so I need to sort out the comm gear for them to install.
I don’t have my ham license yet, but I’m going to work on that, but I need your help on...
I got my dishy back from Star-Mount Systems yesterday, and threw it up temporarily on my roof basket to test it out before I hard mount it. So far, so good. Getting between 50 and 125mbps while driving at 50mph. Planning to keep it on for some more testing over the next few weeks, then it’ll...
I've gotten the green light from my wife, and am starting to plan the adventure of a lifetime, starting in Alaska in late July 2027 traveling down and throughout South America, returning to the US in May of '28. I'm going to bring my two boys, who will be 7 and 10. Each week, we will do a...
Just gauging interest… I’m building my 200, so I thought it might be fun to swap the 100 for an older truck that still has its third row for driving around town with the kids. Would also consider a 60 if it’s had the third row added.
My 100 has:
Gamiviti Rack
iKamper 2.0 tent
Dual battery (w/...
I’m working on planning out my build, and I’m getting my Slee bumper installed in a couple of months. Can someone let me know how much room there is between the Slee ladder and the tailgate on our trucks?
Thank you!
Hey all— I’m bringing my ‘21 Cruiser up to Slee for a makeover in January, and I’m going to have leftover tires— 4x Falken Wildpeaks, size 275/65R18, 18k miles on them, tons of tread left.
I’m also replacing my spare, so that’s whatever the stock tire/wheel was on a ‘21 Heritage, I think they...
When the end of the line for the 200 series was announced, we immediately called our dealer and got an allocation for a 2021 Heritage Edition in Blizzard Pearl with the intention that it would be my wife’s daily for a few years, then I’d build it up for adventure. We took delivery in April ‘21...
I’m laying here on a HEST Foamie and it’s okay, but not great. So I’m wondering what y’all use to sleep inside your cruisers.
I’m a big guy— 6’6, 250
Thanks!
As the nights get colder and colder, winter is definitely coming back. Any suggestions on spots to go camping in December-February where the temperature stays above ~20 at night and gets up to the high 50s (or more) consistently during the day?
Doing Big Bend in March, and Mazatlan in April...
I’m getting ready to start a build on my ‘21 HE w/third row. I know these were pretty rare— is there a market for the seats/seat belts, or should I just stick them in the corner of my garage for the next decade? 😄
I'm thinking about having Slee do a build on my '21 HE. I'm sure there are folks here who have gone through that process, but my searching came up empty.
Did you have Slee build out your 200? Would love to hear about your experience!
My family has gotten too big for the RTT, so we’re changing up the rig and I’m selling my iKamper 2.0. Used for 60 nights or so in the last three years. In very good shape, no rips.
Includes the upgraded iKamper inflatable mattress (way more comfortable than the original pad)
$1500
I’ve had my R1T for 18 months now, built it up for exploring this summer, and it’s been incredible.
Pros:
Truck bed plus gear tunnel plus frunk means way more storage space
Massive battery means no stress about power. Fridge in the bed, freezer in the frunk, pass an extension cord up to my...
Hey all! I’m going to be driving to Moab this afternoon, leaving in the morning, and I’ve got a few hours to spare, so I’m looking for a trail recommendation.
Priority is scenery— I have my wife with me, and she gets very nervous off-road, for context, going over Engineer in Silverton is way...
I stopped by TAV in ABQ today to talk about some upcoming work on my 100 and start planning the build on my 200, and they showed me a ‘21 that they’re almost finished with for a customer in Florida. Full stage 2 build, he’s prepping for an around-the-world journey. A bunch of Tundra parts, 35”...
Hey guys, I’ve done about a dozen trips with my land cruiser over the past 15 months, and I love it, but my biggest headache is breaking down camp. If I have everything set up and I’m in a spot for 2+ days, my break down takes 2+ hours. (I’m usually camping with my 5-year-old and a couple of...
