How about this for the wall of shame? PO used flexible natural gas line, to try and recreate the original look of the flex pipe on the (missing) egr cooler. 🤯 It’s taken me almost three years to find all the necessary Cal. smog parts and get it legal.
Hi Eastendmedic. I came across your very old post about idle gremlins, and wondered if you ever got any answers or advice. I’m experiencing the same issues. Newley rebuilt engine (very reputable Toyota specialist), new gas tank, lines, filters. Carb rebuilt by Jim C. Truck runs smooth and easy...
Hey Mark, question for ya, would this equipment work for my 78’ Cali spec truck? I just need the egr valve, but extra parts never hurt..? If so I’m interested.
Hi Bhsdriller, I was wondering if you were still willing to part with your egr setup? My rig is really close to passing Cali smog, and these should be the last parts I need to finally get her plated! Let me know.
Thanks, Mark
My truck is a 78’, however this exhaust manifold might be a 79? I need an egr, cooler & pipe. I might need the longer pipe to the manifold? (Question for the experts…I’m replacing headers with this exhaust manifold,(trying to pass CA smog) will the exhaust & intake need to be machined to match)?
Wow! You guys have put it some major work on your tops. Well done🍺. Those fiberglass work pics are making me itchy!! I’m fortunate that mine only needs a good repaint 🙏. ...but, I think it’s the Only part on the 40 that I can say that about 😅😎.

@oldschool4wheeling, glad to hear it’s holding up well, I‘m about ready to get my interior tub done in Cygnus too. Is there a need for any sound proofing under the liner? or does the liner provide enough? I hadn’t thought of liner for the roof top, i would imagine that it adds strength as well.
