I was not aware you could still buy the crank from Toyota. You mean Toyota in the US? Or from Japan? I fully plan to put upsized ARP head studs in while doing the rebuild. I always used ARP studs when building my high HP Volvo engines. We also used Cometic MLS head gaskets on all the turbo...
Ran across this thread in my searchings and thought I would attempt to bring it back to life. Do any of y'all have updates from the last few years? Super curious.
Hey there Donnerpassing. There were no symptoms before the tick started. Truck runs great. Just drove it 2600 miles across the country pulling a 4500lb trailer with no engine issues at all. Oil changes every 5k miles. Everything was peachy. I was 20 minutes into a drive, engine fully warmed up...
Hey y'all. So, I put off replacing my BEB's for too long, and it bit me in the butt today. I was 20 miles from home and started hearing a strange ticking sound. I limped it to my buddies shop, but it was too late. I pulled the oil pan and found #6 rod bearings had spun, and the crankshaft...
I have a set of 4 16x8 American Racing Baja wheels with 285x75x16 Dunlop Grandtrek AT3 tires on them for sale. The wheels have a few blems in the paint, but are overall in good condition. The tires have half a lincoln head of tread left and are in good condition. They came off my 1992 80 series...
I have for sale a set of 4 American Racing Blade Saw Cookie Cutter wheels in good shape wrapped in 27x8.5x14 Maxxis Mudder Buckshot 2 tires. Tires have less than 10k miles on them, and are in great shape. Wheels have center caps. The came off my 1986 Toyota pickup (2wd). Wheels are 5x4.5" bolt...
Hey there friends. My wife and I have been driving for 4 days from one rocket city to another. We are moving from Washington to Huntsville Alabama, and are only 200 miles away and just had the AC belt come apart and throw chunks into the radiator ripping some tubes away from the end tank...
Thanks for the heads up. We are definitely not in the nicer part of Memphis. The rad is aluminum. So no soldering on this one. A tig torch would do the trick, but mine is on a moving truck somewhere. I'm really hoping that letting the jb weld set overnight will work and get me home.
Thank you. I'll be making several phone calls in the morning. I appreciate it!! And if any of you here in Memphis have one they don't need, I'll take it.
1992 auto. I have bypassed the factory trans cooler however, and installed an larger aftermarket cooler. So I could use a manual trans radiator. I agree, I don't like the idea of jb weld at all. I ordered a new rad for it, but won't be here for a week. And we are almost to Alabama. Only 200...
We are moving from Seattle area to Huntsville, Alabama pulling a 6x12 cargo trailer. The AC belt came apart and punctured the radiator at the top and the bottom. Tried folding the tubes and some jb weld, but I didn't let it cure long enough, and it came out. Anybody have a radiator that would...
Belts is a good idea for sure. I did the same thing. All the belts, all the fluids. The wheels and larger tires helped with fuel economy a bit, but it gets worse with higher speeds. I'm getting between 45-49mpg with mostly 45-60mph driving. The service manual is awesome! I think I bought it from...
Yay! Another CE95 owner! I was lonely. I too have a 1990 Corolla. However with quite a few more miles on it. She's a great little car. I consistently get 45-50+mpg, albeit at a pretty slow pace. She'll go pretty much anywhere off-road, and darn near climb a tree. Other than the belts, don't...
