Didnt have much luck searching here or on the web. A lot of people commenting but nothing concrete. Had to pull the driveshaft out of my 2004 doublecab to take care of a small leak.
When reinstalling the driveshaft slip yoke onto the transmission tail shaft, should i grease it? Or lube with...
Well, in a hurry, and in lack of a vehicle i could put my grandfather, and crippled father into for a desert weekend- i pulled the trigger on a 2005 2wd trd double cab. Its got the 4.7 liter with VVT, and 5 speed trans. Overall its in really nice shape, has 150,000 miles on it though.
It got...

Back up for sale!-1500 bucks for the car and all the parts!
there may be interest in the drivetrain. If it sells complete the price of the vehicle and parts as a package will drop quite a bit. Still prefer not to part out, but if there was enough...

it might be illegal to text, talk, touch, or think about using your phone while driving here... but damn it, I can still take pictures and almost stay in my own lane!
My head hurts, probably from smacking it againts my rig all day installing my new rear locker axel.
I've found threads about fj80's needing rear locker wiring, but I've heard the lx450's have all the wiring ready to go.
WHERE IS IT>>?
I have the few feet of axel wiring on the axel locker...
I am cutting the metal around a TBI fuel pump unit out of an old suburban gas tank, and grafting it into a project pig's tank. Both tanks have been bone dry for years, and I am not worried about the welding, just about corrosion afterwards.
I intend to use my mig...
Fuel pump welding will...

Right now I have a pair of front doors for a '77 (rounded window frames and no windwings) in pretty good shape. I don't have time to be shipping these, but if someone wants to pick them up they are...
I'm gonna pull the trigger on a plasma in the next week. Probably going to be a chinese, just not sure which one yet.
My question: Do I want a pilot arc unit?
The pilot arc makes it easier to START a cut right? Does it do anything else?
I get the impression a pilot unit has to have the...

I thought that mounting a winch "foot forward" would be stronger than bolting it to a horizontal surface. Any thoughts on this? Wondering if it would make it harder to break the foot pads on the winch housing or easier?
I posted a thread in the winching forum...
So I've had it in my head that mounting my winch "foot forward" is a stronger setup than just plopping it down on a horizontal surface...
Agree? No F-ing way? I started thinking about it and now I'm not sure...
Anyways I want to fit this thing between my frame rails and try to keep it up and...
Solenoid pack on the left came with the T-Max EW10000, and the one on the right came with the Smittybilt XRC10.
The T-Max solenoids are about what I expected, but what is the single unit in the Smittybilt?
Brand new T-max EW-10000.
There is about a 1/4 inch of movement side to side... seems like a lot to me. My buddy just bought a 10000 pound smittybuilt and it has half of the movement... Should I be worried about this (return the winch) or try to bolt it down and see how it is when the housing...
Found an asortment of rubber materials at a surplus store. A few 40" roles and several 36" roles of rubber, neoprene, silicone, and nitrile. Thickness varies between 1/16" and 3/16" and most of the roles are 100 feet long.
I had been looking for something like this for a long time to use under...
This cage was in my EBAY pig when I bought it. I was going to reuse it (painted any surfaces that were going to be exposed with a similar green to exterior), but now I have a bender and will eventually build my own. Trying to offset cost of new materials by offing this one.
Nothing...
