What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

It is so sad that in the USA we now need to think about these things. People in failed states have lived with these fears for a long time, and now it has come here. I hope the pendulum swings and some law and order legislators and prosecutors start winning elections.

    Skis on ARB Base Rack?

I have been delighted with my ARB Base Rack since I installed it this summer. Then the snow came. How do I carry skis on the Base Rack? My Yakima Sky Box 21 will not attach to the rack. The slats are too thick. Someone around here must have figured this out. Please help.

    Any consensus on bumpers?

In the end, I chose ARB for the bumper. Almost everything else is Slee.

How much radar can we block?

I just did an experiment on a different 200. I filled an envelope with paper and aluminum foil and taped it so it was covering the bottom half of the emblem. I then took it for a drive. The adaptive cruise control still worked fine. Who would have thought?

How much radar can we block?

My 200 is finally being built. I chose the ARB bumper and am keeping the ComeUp winch. When I went to the shop today to check on progress, I saw that they have the control box mounted in front of the emblem, blocking the bottom 40% or so. I immediately thought it would make the adaptive cruise...

    Date code carb identification

Since this group has an unbelievable ability to identify parts, I come to ask for the communal wisdom. I have learned from this thread how to decipher the date code and that my carb was built 12th February 1985. I know the rig is from Venezuela and has no emissions on it. Given that and these...

    Carburetor Rebuild Specialist

Since my rig came from Venezuela a year and a half ago, it has gone through three carbs. All three have failed in that they started flooding the engine. The first carb, with which it came, appears to be a legit Aisin. The second was bought from Cruiser Parts in NH for about 250usd. The third...

    Engine died while driving

Steamer, Thank you for both of your suggestions. Indications are that it is a fuel problem. Too much fuel. I think my fuel pump may be putting out too much pressure, overwhelming the carburetor. I drove 3.5 hours each way yesterday to take her to Dr. Poor Wally. Hopefully, she will come...
