rear driver brake locking after driving awhile?

Looks like I may need to adjust the pedal side. I have temporarily placed washers as spacers to put the master a bit farther away from the booster to keep the brakes from locking up. I am wondering if there are any tricks to adjusting the brake side to shorten the booster rod a bit? Thanks for...

rear driver brake locking after driving awhile?

John indicated I had to turn the rod from booster to master a quarter turn to shorten it a bit. Seems like a simple adjustment. I did not adjust the pedal height at all

rear driver brake locking after driving awhile?

Just finished the drum to disc conversion with the JT Outfitters kit. Kit was awesome, everything fit great. After talking to John at JT, he was saying the rod in the new master cylinder starts touching the brake booster... as everything heats up it expands.

    Oil gauge not working

My 1974 FJ40 oil gauge is not working. Not sure about the steps to troubleshoot this one!? Also the battery gauge jumps quite a bit swinging back and forth as well. Just curious about any thoughts on these issues? Thanks

    Dead Battery

I've had a few batteries end up dead after leaving the FJ over a week. Does anybody have any ideas how to diagnose the draw? In the meantime, I'm planning to connect a few battery disconnect caps. This way I can easily disconnect the battery.

    Spare tire issue!

Wow! That thing is awesome! Great work on the fab! don’t have any other details on my set up... unfortunately. It was a retired officer who had it originally and modified. He passed and I picked the rig up from the Grandson. Wish I could have talked with the officer awhile!

    Spare tire issue!

Hi everyone! Wondering about an issue I have with the spare tire! After upgrading to larger tires, the spare rubs against the back of the cruiser when it is locked in place. Are there any adapters or extenders to put the tire a few more inches away from the back? Finally got the new cappiece...

    Steering sway!

Ok! I placed the angle finder on the bottom ridge that extends out to directly behind the diff on the front axle. Figured that was correct?

    Steering sway!

So I just placed my magnetic angle finder on the castor and it came out to somewhere between 3-4 degrees. Based on this, any thoughts as to the specific shims I would need for this?
