Questions Regarding a FJ60 Restoration - Orlando, Fl. - Help needed

Hello all, I rotated the tires and painted the wheel wells with Rustoleum undercoating. I pressure washed under the truck first, wire brushed it, and painted. I also targeted the first rust spot with a welder. More pictures of that to come. Looked OK, but my welding skills are definitely...

Fj60 Shaking tons after 30 mph

Hello All, Update: I got the cruiser to @cruisermatt 's shop last week. He was kind enough to look at the truck and double check the TRE, u bolts, and some other components. Looks like the shaking can be from the tires or maybe the brakes. Not sure still. After a test drive, we got it to...

Fj60 Shaking tons after 30 mph

It could be, yes. I do not know. I just can go with what I see at the moment. I need to start there, test and see. I do think the shocks alone will not do that, on the other hand I do find it weird that it is that one shock that the bushings keep rotting out. Like I stated, everything else...

Questions Regarding a FJ60 Restoration - Orlando, Fl. - Help needed

Thanks, Yes, Cruisermatt is close to me, he has actually been to my house a couple of times last year to help. He is just too busy these days (I gather) because of moving his shop and such. I contacted him a couple of weeks ago, and he told me he was going to let me know, but nothing yet. I...

Questions Regarding a FJ60 Restoration - Orlando, Fl. - Help needed

Thanks! Got it. I will see if I can "fish it" out with a magnet if it is not there in place today. Also, do they sell that rubber boot? (the one shown on this picture) or that is one of those things, that it is super hard to find? That is the one I said is broken and toasted on the Tcase...

Questions Regarding a FJ60 Restoration - Orlando, Fl. - Help needed

Yeah, I see the linkage there. That is it. I do not know if they pin is still there or not. I did not pay attention to it. I can look today and see if i can see it, to determine if it is inside the case. Man, this sucks. Thanks for the reply. The picture helps a lot.
