Well yesterday i took the heart out of the 86 swb 70 seems mean but the funds for the donkey will go along way , i,m going to put the diffs under 'Snifter' and cut up the floor and foot wells to fix the rust in snifters worst body decay areas .
Well now i,m in trouble with the other half , two new cruisers in two weeks .
Now i need to make the big decision ,do i part out the red truck and up grade the bits on my troopie , and the fj40's running gear or keep the fj40 stock and sell the red one as a project.

Well after much looking i have found this little gem , been in the same family since new , all intact , little rust and a few repairs to the floor required ,spare parts included ,as yet un named 73 fj40
Well the old 1HZ has just clocked 550,000 and is really in need of a bit of attention
I plan to re build the old heart but in the mean time I have picked up a 1HD-T my question is will the 1HD-T bolt strait up to my original 1HZ ?gearbox or am I going to need to change the bell housing...
now it is more important to re power
well looks like mr happy needs a new heart i will prob start a new thred with this question but i have picked up a 1hd-t (hopefully here next week ) will it bolt up to my 1hz gearbox ?
the truck is my daily driver and not for comp i agree about the hight isue , and have considered the options i want to run 35s so hence the lift my rims are a _54mmm off set already so has a very wide stance already , just want a bigger tyre on the rim
