No, there were no OEM double-cabs before 2012. Only the RHD fire-trucks from Japan, and aftermarket conversions from South Africa. FYI Troopy designations are 75 (pre-1999) or 78 (2000-onwards), pickups are also 75's (pre-1999) and 79's from 2000 onwards.
Generally the consensus is to stay away...
This one is kind of cool, so I'm posting here as at the very least it could give some ideas to 73 owners for camper conversions (tagging @FJBen).

@prwillard2 - you can set up import once the shipment is already en route. @gilmorneau might have some contacts there for a customs broker. Depending on what HS Code is used for the import it may be duty free. Maybe @svsisu can chime in from real-world experience.

I also worked on setting up (programming) my VHF radio for logging roads, which was fun. A product designed with a serial interface and with a Windows-only application requiring complicated drivers found on Russian-language websites... Fun. Then of course I wired it up, cleaning up some other...
I was home over Christmas and New Years for the first time since 2014. The weather was unusually mild right up until I left again (at which point it hit record-breaking lows: good timing for an exit!).
Of course, I did some work. Replaced the glow plugs - unknown age. They tested and looked...
