    timing gear cover gasket

    Ok I managed to get the timing gear cover plate off - now I need to replace the gasket and crank shaft seal. Do I put the gasket on the motor or on the cover plate? Do I use blue RVT on both sides of the gasket? Also are there torque specs for the bolts? Thanks

    Hodag will be pulling his '78 out shortly - as soon a we pop the top off I will try to put some measurements on line. I am in the process of buildiing a new tub out of several donor rigs so the more pics of your rebuild the better.
