So, after removing alternator I found that the alternator cable was corroded along with some copper wires brittle and broken at the tip, can i chop that corroded tip and add the terminal on to that?
Anyone dealt with this exhaust pipe removal, the middle pipe is like a puzzle i cant figure out, how the heck do i remove it? And then i still have to put the new one in… damn.

Question, if i decide to replace the injection pump driven gear, do i have to remove the other gears as well or can i remove and replace just the one gear?
So i tried performing this portion of the fuel injection pump removal but as i turned the nut left to remove it, the pin on camshaft no2 + crank shaft moved but the camshaft pulley no1 still set to BDC, did i mess up? )~:
After setting timing to BDC and removing timing belt can I remove the bolt in the camshaft drive gear(marked im red) holding the fuel injection pump without disrupting the BDC position or will it be disrupted if i just start removing it after the belt is off? Do i have to take any other steps?

my thermostat reading stays below the half line after warming up and reaches half or higher when going up steep inclines but I’ve observed another HZJ73 and it stays at the half line after warming up, does my thermostat need replacing or which one is reading correctly?
1HZ engine in HZJ73 feels underpowered when going up a road with a 7% - 9% grade incline hitting 2800-3200 rpm, doing 20-40 mph blowing black smoke, is this normal for a 1HZ, since it is a slow engine or is this a problem?
