I don't imagine you'd need documentation. You had an original, it should be replaced with an original.
The aftermarket ones are likely nearly identical but fitment is likely slightly off, and the paint adhesion is likely not as good. Gussets and support material will likely be different as well.
I'd just get OEM because why settle for a lesser aftermarket plastic bumper.
You always want it to be repaired back to original or better (subjective on metal etc).
Glad it's working out for you. Those two front nuts are very hard to access and the weird sitting while install isn't pleasant one bit. But once it's in, it's nice and firm.

Personally, I'd go for a 2nd gen Crew Cab.
For some reason, the 1stgens are going for an insane amount of $ compared to the earlier year 2nd gens. I believe people stay away from the 07-10 years of the Tundra for some engine reason, but also because it's ugly and the 2.5gen have that modern...
Bolts to factory step locations. Photos only show static load, not dynamic so its quite dangerous imo.
There's a reason the industry uses weld to frame sliders.
BFF also offers a hybrid bolt / weld kit for their sliders.
