Builds Project - EffjJay Eighty - 2UZ powered

Thanks guys ^ Here is my next extremely high profile mod that I did this past weekend LOL :steer: In all seriousness, i'm pretty stoked with how it looks now. I already had a cruiser guy at the parts store ask how I did the conversion. They are nasty and full of grease from before I...

You don't have to do the ABS relo to do the hubs. You may have to mod the birfs, but its easy. Technically you don't even have to remove them.

I also did the TG hub stud kit since 80% of mine were stripped. And a set of the aisin hubs with circlip/birf mod Someone had already swapped birfs on my rig apparently because I had two different drive flanges. With the aisin hubs, I needed to make the circlip groove closer in. I...

I don't care for the fold-able star washers that get sandwiched between the spindle nuts. So I got the TG chromo's with lock ring. They are BA, hopefully they'll hold up.

I should note, I have a problem with these two bolt heads rubbing on the reluctor ring plate and I need to go back and trim them. This guy gets heated up and dropped over the hub assembly. It will need to be removed when the rotors are changed. I have no idea how ill get it off there...

Thank you Overlander 80 - I know we've talked before, but I dont recall where your located. You in WA ? Alright, so I got the ABS relo kit from Marks4wd courtesy of my VERY generous friend Eric. I appreciate it bro. The kit came well packaged, with almost all the parts to do a knuckle...

What jetranger said - Two upstream and two downstream. Different than some of the AF sensors other rigs have. These are true o2's. Whats odd is that it gets the same MPG whether I sit in traffic, or go 60mph on the hwy. Two things I believe have an effect, the roof rack with the...

Overlander80, I just saw your post - Updates - I just removed the custom LED's I did in the cluster. They all fried. I got some of the shallow pnp 194 led kits from the local parts store. They look nearly as nice. It's good to have the lights back on. Lol I'm starting to do the aisin hub swap...

I haven't seen those before. That's a great deal. Mine 3/16" cost 14$ since I have the tools and could do a 3/8 with my current machine which would run probably 30$ in material, plus fuel to get to the steel supplier there and back... If I had an extra $80 I would probably consider picking one...

^Thank you on both accounts I'm hoping to do a few more things this summer. New oil pan from scratch with a 3/16" flange cnc plasma cut on my TM. And finish the rear bumper possibly.

    Insuring a 4x4

In some cases it would be if you had a claim, where did it occur. And of course, Social media and forums. ie:did someone post a photo of their rig doing something the insurance company feels would put them at risk for paying a claim.

    Insuring a 4x4

I dont know if ill get much response here but since my rig could potentially be used for a number of functions offroad, I figured I would give this area a shot. Here's my rig - https://forum.ih8mud.com/hardcore-corner/341445-project-effjjay-eighty-2uz-powered.html I got a cancellation...

    Cleaning ABS sensor magnets

Mine failed when gunked up with too much grease that I used to pack the birfs. Cleaned them off and good to go. On the other hand, I did nearly damage one due to improper clearance with the reluctor ring and sensor (the sensor just has that small thin, flat magnet showing. A few metal shavings...
