Came across this thread which has part number for 2UZ ECU for manual transmission.

I haven’t verified the numbers yet so do so before moving on them.
I was hoping people would convince me otherwise ... but I am more inclined to replace. Especially since I am here ... further down the rabbit hole I am going
That is what I was hoping for too but it snapped below the flywheel.
And yes, it seems like there was black RTV on the bolt threads. You can see some of it remnants of it. :worms:
I'm tempted to replace the main seal since I am here but not sure whether it is needed. Thoughts?
So as I dig further and further into this truck, I am finding things that give me pause on all the work which the PO did. I have never torn apart a t-case before (thankfully my buddy helping me has) but the RTV overload made it way more difficult that it should have to pull it apart. I didn't...
Unfortunately, I just went through this. For me it was my trans but based on the frequency of the thud, it may be your t-case. Especially if you get the sound rolling through all your gears.
When I did the same test, running through all the gears with t-case in neutral, then the I heard...
when/if I tow, it would be a small pop up trailer. Much later (2-4 yrs) I may upgrade to a "overland" trailer to remove the rooftop tent but in either case, that load is pretty light.
Unless there is something super compelling, it seems the Aisin clutch is the route to go. Much appreciated
So I am rebuilding my 62 drivetrain (h55f and rebuild t-case) and just bout to order a new clutch and just wanted some feedback.
the 62 is more of a daily driver with random excursions then the bi-monthly weekend wheeling trip, at best. I know the Aisin clutch is solid component but I am just...
Late last year, I called Truck Shop (in San Diego, CA) to work on my FJ62 and it seems that they no touch any TLC that old.
I'm sure they still work on FJ80s but seemingly nothing older
Unfortunately, I don’t know. This was done at least two owners ago and guy I bought it from doesn’t have any specifics.
I was wondering the same thing and curious whether there are any markings to indicate age. Won’t know mileage but could guess
so after a very busy work season, I finally got around to pulling my h55f. Turns out the noise I was hearing was due to losing a few teeth (no tooth fair to redeem the situation)
Needless to say, I'm a bit frustrated and, worse, upset that I never took it off-roading to cause this damage.
So few weeks ago, I noticed a sound while in third which resembled a "ring spinning around a metal bar", at least that is how I describe the sound. Obviously, any odd sound isn't good but I haven't had time to really inspect it. This sound has lessened, or not nearly as noticeable, but now when...
Thanks, ill
I was thinking about upgrading everything and this makes sense. Now I just need to look into updating my fuse-link wires, as well.
I’m assuming this will address some other oddities which I’m experiencing within the electrical.
This has been on my list of things to fix but a low priority item. As I am nearing it on my list, I wanted to get some advice from y'all. Might this be a failing alternator or faulty wiring causing the voltmeter to bounce like this when using the turn signal?
