2023 Rear Camera / Rear bumper Issues

I saw your post on your thread about that. If I recall, you mentioned the camera was on but very low resolution. This is just blank. However, I cannot speak to how the wires are extended and if they’re correctly being put into the camera in the new location. Also, can’t speak to if they...

2023 Rear Camera / Rear bumper Issues

I have a 2023 Blackline, and I purchased the Victory 4x4 rear bumper and rear tire swing out, with their relocation kit for the camera and license tag/lights. I've got a shop doing the work, but they are running into an issue. Now that the rear camera has been relocated to the tire swing out...

Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier and Blind Spot Monitor Question

Yeah - I looked into the 200 series and I figured that may be the case. Can’t find much info on the GX forum. Thanks!

Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier and Blind Spot Monitor Question

I’m looking for an alternative or a solution for a GX460 Victory 4x4 rear bumper. I’ve already purchased and received, but now I realize it does not work with the BSM system. I’d very much like to retain all stock features. With how you’ve managed to retain stock features on Dissent rear...

    Premium fuel ?

I would feel like it's safe to say, if you are in a pinch and you cannot get 91+ you'd be safe to run 87 until you can get to 91+. Is that an accurate assumption? Long term, your assessment of this seems very logical and makes perfect sense to me.

From FJ Cruiser, to 80 Series, to GX460

Had my first little shakedown weekend this past weekend. Hit some pretty minor “trails” more like dirt roads. But was still great. 1. I love this thing 2. I’m still getting some slight rubbing on the body mount, I think. 3. The most concerning issue, I’ve got a metal on metal clanking sound...

Me too. Sorry, I cant help with your issue, but thought I'd chime in with a similar hatred.

The pinch weld is folded. I didn't fold it all the way flat, but as I could tell it is folded down plenty enough to clear. If I need to fold it down more, I can easily. I used a 4 lb, short handle sledge for the hammering. Worked nicely.

I think the rubbing is plastic. I did the BMC, and as far as I can tell, tires clear BMC fine. I didnt trim much plastic away from the front side up front. So thats where I think the issue lies. Or, the first issue. Curious, however, once a plate is welded onto the BMC, I think it may rub...

Overall it was a decent. Lift is in, Panhard bar is in, KDSS spacers in, wheels and tires on. Still have some rubbing to deal with, I guess to be expected, but I thought I cleared all the places I'm rubbing so that's not instilling confidence in me. The rears were not fast in comparison to the...

What Size Jack Stands do I really Need for a GX?

Definitely need 6 tons. My world of wrenching has not been on lifted vehicles, went to begin the install on my lift last night and I was not able to jack the GX up while allowing full droop on the wheels and tires with my 3 ton jack stands. It was not even something that had crossed my mind...

Making solid progress on the lift and fitment of the wheels and tires. Started Friday night and was able to get the stock shocks and UCA's out with little fuss. Put the new Ironman UCA's in without putting the coilover in so I can test fitment. At the body mount chop now, and getting pulled...

Builds R²M 2013 GX 460 Overland Build

Only time I recall that long beep is when a door isnt shut completely. Happens to me on my rear swingout. For whatever reason, I dont completely close it pretty regularly.

100% after the lift, wheels and tires. Just didn’t dawn on me for the added weight from bumpers and skids etc to worry about an alignment. Tires ain’t cheap tho. That’s a fact.

My main reason for pc was to prevent rust. It was either that, or rattle can. And for $150, I decided PC. And I’ll touch up as needed with either a rattle can or another method of paint.

Unfortunately, this will be a solo project. I miiight have another set of hands for a brief time, but I'm aiming to do it all solo. I'm very excited for the wheels. I like them more than a brighter bronze color, I also am a huge fan of the style. And against the Nori Green, *chefs kiss*. For...

Dang, those are wide. But they do look great. I also mispoke, my wheels are 17x8.5, not 17x9. I'm getting pretty excited for this upcoming weekend. This will be the biggest weekend wrench job I've done in a few years. I've also never cut body panels, even if just slightly. I've also never...

Victory 4x4 rear Strike bumper PDC question

Did Victory give you any insight on what size to use? Or did they ship you out the correct size for your year? I second that, the sensors/sizes have changed over the years. I've read plenty of having issues fitting sensors in to *insert name brand* bumper.

Front what I've read so far, with a 3" lift, it's pretty much understood a panhard relocation will help. The bracket may replace the need for a new panhard bar itself. As far as lean, I had lean on my 94 Land Cruiser. I guess I'll trouble shoot that if/when it's an issue with me. I'm planning...

From FJ Cruiser, to 80 Series, to GX460

The lift is planned to be done in my garage next weekend. I've found the YouTube channel Sandy Cats and he's got some great information on fitting 35's on a GX. While I'm not fitting 35's with a -30 offset and 12.5 inch wide wheels like he did, the overall process should be about the same. I...
