1995 hzj75 Last time I installed new wheel bearings I also changed the top and lower swivel hub bearings but did not change the shim.. And I did NOT test the swivel "turning" preload So now after 10.000km I wanted to check and it was way too loose.. only about 1.5kg resistance. And there was...

Dead swivel hub bearing after only 10.000km?

I just pulled the axle as I need to change the diff seal. I can feel a slight difference in resistance when moving the swivel hub from center position. Definitely feels like a worn bearing. But I did full swivel hub rebuild only 10.000km ago. I did however not set a high enough bearing preload...

Oil temperature sensor in valve cover? Accurate reading?

I have been researching were to install an additional oil temperature sensor. The best solution seems to be to install a sandwich adapter under the oil filter. like this: https://www.shopsaas.com/saas-oil-filter-sandwich-plate-kit-sgap5-m24-x-1.5-sgap5-2415 but those are expensive. Especially...

Timed flasher relay... Does that exist?

So I have changed the flasher lightbulbs to led and had to insert resisters to make them flash slowly enough. But is possible to get a timed relay so I don't have to have those resisters installed? I had this om my motorcycle as it was just a simple relay amd easy to change.

Another 1hz oil leak or is it burning oil?

So from reading about it in the forum, I am guessing it must be either the famous oil pan leak or a faulty rear main seal. (My mechanic will be so happy🫰) I am loosing about 1 liter of oil every 2000-2500km. I only see drops hanging down there but I am getting very little in the catch can and...

So when I was in a line of cars wait for the ferry the other day I suddenly felt that the "clutch activation point" had moved quite a bit. I could only lift my foot less than 1 inch before the truck started moving. I got it in neutral and let the clutch go. Now everything felt normal. I have...
