Hey Matt, sorry for the reply to an old thread, but I was wondering what a broken pull stock is and what it causes. My hazard switch on my 1973 FJ40 was working for hazards but my blinkers were not working. I took my switch apart and everything looks good but a tiny piece of broken plastic fell...
Has anyone ever made a reverse light lens for a 73? There are some very similar lenses I’ve seen online that might be usable with a little tweaking. I know I saw a thread on here at one point that discussed this but I can’t seem to find it.
No worries. Sounds like we have a similar issue. Although even when I advance mine it’s not what I would call smooth. I’ve been playing with the distributor and carb adjustments all day trying to figure it out.
No I take that line off and plug it. It’s running to my emission control box per a thread I found which showed where to connect the ports from the box.
That's the weird thing, I have to advance it way past the 7 degree bb in order to smooth it out at all. Anywhere near TDC or 7deg and it runs horribly. Would this be a coil/resistor thing? Distributor? I figure it's got to be a sign of something.
Does this seem a tooth off? I’m running a little rough but I thought if I was a whole tooth off it would be really rough. I think I’m supposed to be pointed between 3&4 right?
