No the picture doesn't make it look worse, it is that bad. This hill is just after you go down the chute. The trail goes up a hill that you have to hug the right side and then levels out, the other line goes up the right side of this ledge (over about 100 yards).
I would have to disagree to some degree, the driveline that failed was a DC built by slee and is a great driveline BUT they put a Tacoma slip yoke with a Tacoma u-joint, the Tacoma u-joint is what failed... it was never designed for a supercharged 7000lb rig. the other failure is a well known...
The trail has so many obstacles, one after another for miles and miles and miles. its unlike any other trail I've been on.
Here is one of my favorite pics...
My friend had the same problem, ended up being that the wheel bearing race was not fully seated. we put the race on with a brass drift and the problem went away... good luck
I have had Zero problems with the 2.8 pulley, belt fits great, SC spools up fast now! I live at 4800 ft, I have had it as low as St. George (2800 ft) with no problems (intercooler and premium gas). good luck

We are going on the "hole in the rock" trail again in the spring, last year with 5 gallons of extra fuel we made it back to Blanding on fumes, so this year I will have 8 gallons of gas + 8 gallons of propane for the oven, stove, grill and shower.. I will also have 21 gallons of water...
Took the Pink Panty 4x4 to Moab for a shakedown, I needed to check departure angles of my new bumber and make sure the gas/propane and tire would be out of the way.. They worked great, never even touched the rear bumper... sweet.
Yeah, those are 100% natural hot springs (95 degrees) they are on private property that is OPEN to the public. Here is a link on how to get there.

here is a page about the lava tubes, if you zoom out on the map you will see fillmore to...
Yup they fit fine but hang a little low, I used a super swamper tire that was the narrowest I could find with the correct height. and also raised the mounts as high as I could... works great and is out of the way
