I'm in an adjacent boat but trading out my LX570. I'm going to be very interested in the Trailhunter version since I'm more interested in overlanding than the hardcore performance of the TRD Prod version. I'm not going to run the Baja 1000. The ARB shocks are supposedly tuned for heavier loads...
Was that on the Interstate? Oh....wait, there aren't any in Alaska. :) And the 85 you were doing must have been between Anchorage and Eagle River. Ahh....can you tell I miss my childhood in Anchorage?
Yeah, I've actually replaced all 4 over the last 5 years so I'm disappointed that one may have already failed again but I'm thinking that is the easiest way. I've gotten really good at it. :)
All, I believe I know the answer to this question but wanted to check with you folks first. Recently, I've noticed that after driving for a bit, I'll get a pulsating noticeable throughout the vehicle (2011 LX570) while braking. This is more pronounced at higher speeds (40+). I've dealt with...
Great news on the grant! I would love to come and play with an excavator but my only experience with one is pointing at one when my son was young and saying "Isn't that thing awesome!". That and the one I built out of Legos:
Yes, it was preventative. I am approaching 180K and heading to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland (from Tennessee) in about 6 weeks so wanted to avoid risk. Curious to know how far it would have gone before it died on it's own.
Just finished the job myself. My total time spent was probably around 12 hours of which 4 could have probably been avoided if I'd just moved the mid-pipe at the beginning. I spent 9 hours just trying to get the starter loose and out of the truck before I gave in, went and bought some deep...
Assuming that is correct, I’m assuming that it would be ok to relocate it slightly if necessary. For example, fill that recess completely with a cover but mount the sensor on the outside of the new cover. Hmmm…
I could swear I’ve seen a post that mentions this thing but can’t find it anymore. Does anyone know what this thing is?
I am thinking about putting some power ports in that recess with a panel over it but wasn’t sure what that sensor was for.
Did you ever come up with a solution here? Ironically, I have a 200 and Highlander that are both 5 years older than yours and was just thinking last night "Man, this camera/screen on my (2016) Highlander is SOOO much better than my LX".
Ahhh.....you are correct and the more I thought about it, that more acurately describes what I was looking for. Something that would only power up when the truck was in the ON position. My apologies for the earlier post where I had not thought it through completely.
Thanks!
Found it and for anyone else looking, here's a link.

Reviving an old thread here with a slightly different question. I'd like to find an ACC tap under the hood but every fuse I tried seemed to be powered even when the truck was off. Perhaps I'm jus missing something obvious but I would assume things like Rear Seat Heater is not available unless...
