Working with our local dealer they covered the new rad. We just paid a portion of labor. I’ll have to say the dealer helped negotiating with Toyota. My call with Toyota was nothing less than frustrating...
To keep track on numbers for our discussion with Toyota here:
Our 2013 developed “the crack”. It was identified yesterday. I changed my 07 Tundra radiator some time back which is a similar unit—but for a different issue (core leak). Frankly at over 14 LCs and 17 Toyota 4WD in my family...
There is an inlet screen on the fuel pump in the tank that can become restricted. Access cover requires removal of rear seats. Did mine 10 yrs ago, same issue, never had a problem since. Very cheap part very tedious and frustrating job. EFI relay—I carry a cooled down spare at all times...
i have a pre November 84 3B with turbo glide.
I have a injection pump w/EDIC part #22100-58021
I need a new pump, will the post Nov 84 part#22100-58022 work in its place?
Any concerns to think of in the changeout?
Regarding screetching, the fact that after a month or so of sitting and then cranking smoothly and starting (although stalling immediately) with new glow plugs I am less inclined to think I dropped a pre-cup. No change in coolant level. This is much more than the slow crank of poor plugs or...
Hello,
84 BJ60 (turboed). To start, no she made it through Harvey just fine, we were blessed. Early in 2017 she started to sputter on the way home from work, just about to home the 3B (turbo-glide turboed in 2012) was struggling to stay running and then... dead stop and screeching tires. Had...

No problem. Like I said I will still have a no start issue every once in a while even after replacing the wire (Mostly on trails like Prichett when its HOT out and I am working the truck hard) but its been reduced since the replacement and the relay switch-out has never failed me yet.
Two things could be of issue. The first is likely where to start.
Go get a new EFI relay. Replace that relay when it will not start and see what gives. Yes it has been narrowed down to the TE1 to E1 terminal wire. We'll see if someone can post-up a diagram. If I recall, it is like a 12 or...
Filter sock on the fuel pump. It'd be a 5 min fix if you didn't need to pull the rear seats.
Its been mentioned (Post #32) but I didn't see that you changed it. The thing is like 8 bucks--Its worth it IMHO and it fixed my problem that matched yours to a T. Don't bend the float arm when...
If you tied it up out of the way it would likely be over-braking. I would think this would be a more constant sound. If it was left hanging, you're likely getting no brakey. Don't worry about the axles or drums--not likely the culprit. I get that rumple strip hum when I coast because I need...
A number of things. Where is the noise coming from, rear axle? beneath you? Could be a bad or going bad U-joint in the front or rear driveshafts. Does it happen more often when the gas is on or when coasting? If it is clearly from the rear axle it could be something related to the rear axle...
