I installed a CSF in my 62 back in Jan, was leaking in August. Got another one from rock auto on warranty, but was pretty frustrated at having to go through all that to remove/replace again. (although it is a lot quicker the second time....)
We installed Reese Model 44668 on our FJ62. Had to drill two extra holes in the frame as I recall (one on each side), which isn't much fun upside down but also not terrible. I think we used a 2x4 and pivot on a deck block or something as a lever to put force on the drill. also helped to c-clamp...
Put 1000+ miles on the odo without a hiccup. Son took it to school in South Carolina. Might not miss the oil stains on the driveway....
Any cruiser heads in/near Columbia?
So this should fit?

And then I need a shop to make up some lines to adapt to what is there?
As with many repairs, turning into more than I bargained for.... but I'm grateful for this community!
Has anyone found the Denso 4770146 available recently? It's not currently on RA and the only place I found it "available" is Jegs, with an "estimated ship date of 8/31" which makes me a little nervous that it will get back ordered or something and not show up.
TIA
Add me to the list of those disappointed with the CSF radiator. Bought from RockAuto and installed in January. Changing the oil this weekend and filled the reservoir, when it cooled and presumable pulled some fluid into the radiator i noticed it dripping. Looks like a leak at the top seam on the...
more to the story (if anyone is curious at this point) - disconnected the wire on the big threaded lug (assume it is "terminal B" per the FSM), and tested voltage from that lug to ground while running - 60V ! ? and amperage from that lug to the disconnected wire = 0 A. Per the manual that points...
I could use a little help troubleshooting my alternator. 1988, 3FE. I noticed that the voltage is not coming up like normal when running. Checked with a voltmeter at the battery terminals, and sure enough the voltage stays around 12 V even when running, and when I rev it up a bit. Fusible links...
Here is the order details from Seatbelt planet. I've seen a lot cleaner and more involved installations by folks on here. I do not have the trim pieces that cover the belts as they go up from the retractor to the shoulder bit. Consequently when you fold the back seat up you have to move the...
Our 88 has manual windows and locks - i think at one time it had powered side mirrors. Also has rear seat headrests. Came with "manual" adjust shoulder belts in the back, but I replaced with retracting ones from Seatbelt planet. Has the threaded anchors in the pillars.
i bought a "coupling nut" at a local fastener place and welded a little flag on it that I made from some 1/8" plate. Later I found a fully threaded bolt and that's working fine.
