I found a stamp that reads 15x7 jj(10). Is this the 10 offset you were referring to?
Any recommendations for wheel spacers?
I have the OEM steel wheels for my 81 42, but I'm not okay with the 10.5 tire shape so I've been looking for a new wheel. Any recommendations for easy fitting wheels?
Opinions sought on fitting these 15x7 wheels that I am told are from a HDJ81 onto my 42 with BFG 33x10.5. I posted in wheel and tire and one person said they thought wheel spacers would be needed. Anyone here have real world experience with this wheel and tire on a 40?

As well for the steering box rebuild, I ordered a full kit from Can-Craft in Langley. He stocks a kit from Freudenberg for the Toyota box. I'll post up here with more info on the kit when it arrives.

So I ordered a kit from a Vancouver rebuild shop. He spoke highly of the quality, it's from a company called Freudenberg. I'll post here with details when it arrives, hopefully it's complete. Price was good and shipping is easy from Van to Merville! Stay tuned!
Hi Ryan!!! yeah still kickin up here in the Merv. I spend more time fixing my farm machinery these days, but I am a stubborn dude and will not give up on this 40 project. I managed to drive it around last year with the new tub on, only to find out the box leaks, as do the knuckles, rear axle...
I dont know the year its from, bought it many moons ago from(Abel-TooTall in Vancouver, I think) That thread mentioned above on rebuilding didn,t go into replacing bearings I don t think. Is that something you would recommend? Thanks for the reply and the tips, I will try Kurt, I need a lot...
Thanks for the reply, I can see that there are two kits, and after reading the above mentioned rebuild post, I do want the more complete kit. As well, I spoke with a rebuilder who strongly suggested replacing the teflon seals that are included in the more comprehensive kit. His information...
