Sorry man, I don’t. If you don’t have any luck finding a wheel, the hub upgrade wasn’t terribly expensive, and now I can grab a spare anywhere.

I’m pretty darn good backing up a trailer too, in college I was a builder and was always backing up tool trailers and dump trailers, I worked for an RV service center in High School, I can’t back this thing up hardly at all! I’m not sure how much longer the tongue needs to be to make that...

Of course! The wheel studs could probably be a little longer, they are basically flush with the lugnuts that I used, so these wouldn't work well if you have aluminum wheels. I did see some longer ones also, but the link is to the ones that I purchased, which worked great with my wheels, (CYA...

@perkj I did have a friend weld the 4 individual pieces of the lid together, which made it substantially more rigid! I can't believe that they sent those out from the factory without some connection, relying only on the ABS. The other thing I forgot to mention above was that I added screw-in...

    New Thule Trailer

Well, here’s a quick update on my 1500. I bought it over the winter for $350, and have since dumped more than that into it, but I think it’s shaping up quite nicely. I’ve upgraded to 5 on 4.5 hubs, 175/80r 13 on 4.5 inch modular wheels, which then required upgrading the fenders to the 30...

I found those too, using the numbers you supplied, but man are they expensive. It would honestly be cheaper to order new hubs than to order the bearings and seals all separately on amazon, or to get the bearings from at least O'Reilly's.

I was hunting for them as well, and found these on trailerparts.com: https://trailerparts.com/double-lip-grease-seal-1-49-i-d-2-44-o-d-markings-38-62-8.html And some on Amazon, with Prime Shipping by searching for seal+38+62+8. I tried to post the link, but it wouldn't let me for some reason.

I saw that post, I was hoping for a number that would be somewhat universal, like the bearing numbers. I don’t think any of the local parts guys would be able to do much with that, but we don’t have anything but chain parts stores, and I haven’t had great luck with any of them being able to find...

I worked with Katie and Anita, maybe it’d be helpful for others if you’d post Sara’s contact info as well? Also, any chance that anyone has a part number for the dust seal? I found the bearing numbers back in the thread (my bearings didn’t have the number on them) but all the dust seal has is...

@Sir Velo I was very persistent! I found that multiple emails were needed, and I usually got something back in a few days, but I had to follow up often.

As far as tires and wheels, I’m planning to order some 175/80r13s mounted on silver mods or spokes from eBay. You can get radials for about $150 a pair mounted which is significantly less than I can get locally. With 0 offset, they will stick out about 1.75 further than my stock wheels, and...

I installed them tonight, so I can confirm they went on easily. For those that have interest in this project, I wanted to point out something. The hubs came with the inner bearing and dust seal preinstalled, but the inner bearings weren’t greased. I didn’t feel comfortable trying to grease them...

You did a much better job than I did with your photo, or the numbers are just less clear. However, they are stamped 6B 1229. I haven’t installed the new ones yet, I’m hoping to get to it tomorrow.

Yes, mine is the little guy. I have a truck, and I also have a bigger flatbed, so the little guy is perfect to haul camping gear with my wife’s car. I’ll check my hubs out tonight.

Sure can, here’s how they referred to it: 6B1232.008 HUB FNK11 114,3×5 M12×1,5 I assume the 6B1232.008 is the actual part number. I’m not sure what the FNK11 is, the rest is the bolt circle and tap size. Also, apparently in other countries they use the comma like we use a period as a...

I’m pretty excited about it! Reading the spec sheet is difficult unless you can read German, although I did through a few words into Google Translate as I was trying to figure things out!

    New Thule Trailer

Hey Thule trailer lovers! I just wanted to give some info on something cool I found, that I'm not sure is common knowledge. I contacted Knott in Fox Lake, and specifically asked about getting a hub in an SAE size. Anita sent me a drawing of my axle, and in one of the boxes, there is a A, B...

@perkj @theOz @Sir Velo You gentleman are an inspiration!!! I'm purchasing, sight unseen (though I've seen a number of pics), a 08 Thule, that's being dropped off at my inlaws tomorrow, and hopefully I'll see it this weekend. I have been searching for a watertight trailer for my camping...
