Turns out I need to replace the unit, not just the harness. Am returning for replacement. Just happy I bothered to read more carefully and figure out I ordered the wrong unit prior to attempting install.
Just contacted them and they said a replacement harness ($100) will be sent. Once again my failure to carefully read the details has cost me. Guess I should be happy that I realized it prior to installation. Thanks for the prompt reply. Will report on how it works when installed.
I recently purchased the EC unit for my 2018 LC, and failed to notice there are different units for trucks manufactured before and after July 2018. My truck was manufactured in June 2018, and I purchased the post July 2018 unit. Wondering if, besides wasting the extra $, is this unit not going...
Switched to 17’s so I have the original 18” alloys and Dunlops for sale. Tires are 285/60R Dunlop Grandtreks with 10K miles. Wheels are pristine except for a couple of peeling center caps. Pick up in Portland only. $600.
I am waiting for my 17” wheels a d was vacillating between the the II’s and III’s. After reading this and above I am going to pick up the III’s. They run about $250 here for 17x70x285
Did you look at the AT2’s? I am trying to decide between the two. The II’s are a little less expensive but not enough to matter a whole lot. I have heard great things about the II’s and wonder how much different the III’s are.
Thanks very much for the advice. I ended up going with Downsouth and ordered Fox 2.5” remote reservoir coilovers. Will probably do max 1” lift. I have 17” wheels ordered and plan to install 285/70/17 wheels and tires. I think that will give me the look I am looking for.
Thanks all. I will actually be helping someone who has lots of experience with earlier model LC’s, but not sure whether he has dealt with KDSS. I will review the topic further on the forum. Much appreciate the help.
Thanks very much. My vehicle is almost new so I wouldn’t expect too much difficulty opening the valves, just worried about potential catastrophic result messing with that system, so didn’t want to touch it if not necessary.
I ordered Fox remote reservoir coilovers and shocks and being a neophyte am wondering if it is necessary to mess with the KDSS system when installing new shocks, or is that only required for rear spring installatio?
