I've had great luck with that yard. I scored a brand new swing away bumper/tire carrier, and a banged up front bumper (that I ended up not using, but they threw it in!) for only $250. Cool guys, I'll definately be back!
wow, you cut the top without removing the rear side windows! You could have kept a lot of body stiffness had you left the window sills, oh well. Time to break out the sheet metal and welder. Or I guess you could just fill all the voids with more of that foam :)
I live in the Fort. I'd love to meet some fellow 60 owners in the area. I've got a 2 bay garrage with many tools and welders. Oh, and a fire pit and usually beers:beer: are in the fridge.
Not exactly. The guys at the alignment shop told me to remove the 4 degree castor shims because that's where the wandering was coming from, and I readjusted the bar that aligns the steering wheel so now when I drive down the road, thoigh I still have to hold on to the wheel (no starbucks cups...
Well, I took my cruiser in for the front end allignment, and they advised against any castor shims for this amount of lift, and I talked to a tech (not a sales person) at man a fre, and he said the same thing. So I'll be taking those 4 degree shims as soon as I get a few free minutes. Thanks...
I installed 4 degree castor shims allready. As for the steering link, are you talking about the small arm connected directly to the steering box (I think it's called a pitman arm) or the longer arm that runs parallel to the axle with the steering stabalizer connected to it?
thanks
Have you ever seen a 1st gen 4runner? They use a bolt on system that I think could be fitted to a soft top. What I would do is make a strip the length of your roof and weld nuts to the back side of it, then on your canvas have holes that line up to the nuts and just bolt the canvas to the...
It pulls all the time, and to drive straight down the road I have to hold the steering wheel way off center. I'll take it in for an allignment tomorrow.
I just finished installing my ome lift with man a fre extended shackles and now my cruiser is pulling hard to the left. Am I missing some critical steering drop drag link or something?
Thanks
Yo, man, way to go. I'm doing a similar chop to my cruiser, but I'll be keeping all 4 doors, and just doing a soft rear cargo section. I can't decide if I want to just cap my cuts like you did, or cover the entire border with diamond plate like this 4runner...
tntoyota, the tires are great. We did a little home siping to help on the packed snow. The truck's main purpose was to be capable and very budget, so the tires are on there because they were $300 with rims (as much as he paid for the truck, haha), but so far so good. All together, there's...
Here is my room mate's 1980 hilux long bed. Bobbed 13", home made EVERYTHING (all recycled materials), front and rear bumpers, exo cage, tube doors, grill (made out of the bobbed bed section), locked front and rear, 34x10.50 swampers.
Hi, I was just curious as to how everybody cleans their engines and underside (axles, brakes, drive line components, etc.) I was working on my truck the past couple of days and was just disgusted at how much grime, dirt, and grease had built up over the past 24 years. I'm afraid to use a high...
