Nice work!
What are you using to cut the patch panels on the cruiser ? How did you cut such nice pieces on the bench ? I've got a grinder but I can't get a straight cut.
What wheels are you using to grind? I like Roloc and 3M abrasive discs at 36 grit but my air compressor can't keep up...
I need a new gas cap for FJ62 one (no I wasn't the one who lost it, well maybe I was :o)
Can I go generic, or should I just call up Cruiser Dan? And is Dan available on a Saturday? I would buy through my dealer but paid $32 for a oil filler cap once...
I wouldn't buy it...
FJ40's are easier to roll than FJ80s...
You need to think ahead of the initial purchase. Will you have enough to fix it? I recommend making a list of expenses it will require, and other obligations you will have (e.g. college, insurance, etc.)
It might be better to wait...
That is a fine Cruiser you have. Thanks for sharing.
I have just a few questions for you.
Did you paint it yourself? How many years ago did you paint it? For using the "cheap" stuff it really looks good. Has the paint held up well?
What should doing all this run a person at a good shop...

1973 toyota land cruiser. straight 6 cylinder with stick shift.Runs great but needs a vacuum booster...
Sometimes I say buy... just because I am trying to build.
For me, I have been working bit by bit to build, buying tools, buying parts. My project isn't complete yet, and it has been 2+ years.
I think sometimes you can find a good deal by buying already built. Like Uno_racing's rig...
Saw this on craigslist... I am looking for a reliable FJ60 or else I'd grab this rig!

Keep up the build! It's cool....
I also have the cheap sandblaster from Home Depot. I haven't tried to run it. What size compressor are you using? How did you set it up? Do you have any water filters?

Countdown to Moab is on... so I guess you wouldn't be wasting time online.
I don't want to weld in like the first pic. That is just from the ebay add.
I've spent too much $$$ on the welder, paint, metal, cruiser...

STill looking for grinding wheels
I am putting new panels in the FJ40. they are the "patch" panels for the quarter panel. How do I cut for the patch? I got the replacement from Toyotafab (?) on ebay.
I also need to put a new sill in. I've seen Rzeppa's site.
How do I start cutting for the sill?
I don't have many tools. I...
