Wondering if anyone has ever put a hood latch underneath the hood of an FJ for added security
I don't know if anybody would ever try to unlatch both latches on the hood but it could be problematic if you don't realize it
Wondering if anyone has solved the problem with bikini tops and the bubble that happens when you're driving down the highway.
I have a full length bikini top to go with the full roll cage.
I was thinking about sewing in straps to attached to the middle section of the roll cage

I understand that. We had a points problem and got it gapped right. It fixed the cold start, backfire thought the carb, etc.
A happy byproduct is the possibility of increased fuel efficiency. I was just asking if there was any increase.
Currently getting 13 mpg
Got a 4 speed that easily pops out of 4th gear. This could be if you barely touch it with your hand or over a bouncy road with your foot off of the accelerator.
Any adjustments or fixes?
Have a Frankenstein FJ40. Body/frame is 1973. Engine, tranny, and t-case is 1978. Moved the gas tank to the rear and used a Chevy S-10.
Need an aftermarket sending unit that will register with the correct ohms on the Toyota gas gauge. We bought one of the boxes that we wired in that...
I don't foresee us doing a lot of wheeling in it unfortunately. But that is where things are. Do you know what kind of a job it is to swap those out? Cost, etc.?
Got a 1973 FJ40, and thinking about changing the gears to get more highway friendly. I believe it has 4.10's in it and after '79 they moved to 3:73 gears for fuel efficiency. . It has a '78 Motor, 4spd transmission and t-case
