Transmission Hard to Shift in Wet Weather - MAF Sensor Fix

I have made the same correlation to wet weather and sticky shift, but I also do not see how the MAF would cause this. I am going to give it a try though next time. I was almost ready to swap out the NSS (Neutral Safety Switch) to address the issue. The computer and sensor link scenario is...

    Rear Rotors NEW — Rubbing

Folks, Just recently added SPC UCAs from Slee to allow proper alignment with BP51s. Since I have 170k and the rear brakes were due for service I just had NEW Toyota rotors installed along with pads. Everything was great till the morning after pickup. I noticed a “whooshing noise” which...

Need advice for alignment after a lift

I had BP51s installed and have had my truck aligned twice. Still no joy. Going with UCAs before replacing my KO2s with new. I wish I had gone with UCAs when doing the lift, but lesson learned. Ironically your alignment sheet looks very close to my current measurements. I can tell you the out...

2008-2018 Radiator Failure and Public Service Announcement

Mine kicked the bucket at ~164k miles in November. Shortly after the battery took a dirt nap! :/ Happy to report she is in fine working order now, and ready for another 100k. ;)

    Toyota Recall - Toyota LC200 and LX570

Just saw this and figured I would share... Toyota, Lexus recall 133,000 trucks and SUVs in two separate recalls Perhaps they will refund some of us that have replaced the seat belt due to SRS light coming on? One can only hope (That was expen$ive repair).

    Post-lift, driving to alignment shop

I see some positive camber on my front, just interested to see how yours turns out. I may do some UCAs when it is time for tires (larger 33") and perhaps some wheels... :?

    Post-lift, driving to alignment shop

@mtweller Can you post your alignment numbers after you get your lift installed? Also, did you use UCAs? I did not based on posts to this forum, but I may rethink that once I put new tires (maybe wheels) on post lift on my 200. Thanks!

Ready to pull the trigger on 200 suspension upgrade

They build $100k+ Hemi jeeps and custom off road rigs, plus they are ARB certified shop. I have a house in the area so I come up this way quite a bit. They were great to deal with and provided me a loaner for the day (a $48k 2017 jeep rubicon) and their shop is organized and neat.

Ready to pull the trigger on 200 suspension upgrade

Here are the Before and After Pics... (Slightly different backdrops! :-) ) So far the ride is MUCH better than stock. I can tell a big difference on the offroad ride for sure. Big Thanks to RubiTrux in Boone, NC for an excellent install experience. -Brian

Ready to pull the trigger on 200 suspension upgrade

I am in CLT. My '08 is getting ready to get a suspension upgrade. Trying to grapple with the OME options. Nitro or BP51s is the question. I am a bit perplexed by the suggestion to use the 2721 rear springs in lieu of the 2722s (as I would like/want the .75" lift and the 2722s are for Medium...

LC200 A/C turns off on engine restart

My cruiser now has this same issue. Dealer swears they did nothing wrong during oil change. Checked filter and everything looked fine. Went in for 120k service and they replaced battery (said was bad - from 2011) but issue remains. Are there any videos or other troubleshooting steps? All...

BFG KO2??? What's the biggest for stock wheels?

285-65-R18 has been on my rig for one year with zero issues with rubbing while off road. Love the tires, very quiet for the aggressive tread.
