Hey y’all. I’m seldom on this forum but do run several Cruisers. Most are stored for the winter but I do have a HDJ81 I drive year round. I'm based in Barrie. Love to meet up if there's a get together. I did a SONTT one in Mississauga a few years ago.
I have been taking my fleet (five of them) to Beatty Automotive Services in Barrie for the past 15 years. He also works on another guy's two Cruisers. Not that it's Cruiser related, but he also does all the work on my V10 TDI - so he certainly can handle pretty well anything odd. Name is Scott...
So glad you bought it!
Hey Jordan.
I too saw this on kijiji & was going to see it - knowing damn well that I'd have a hard time saying no. Glad I don't have to worry about it now. . . .
Good luck with it - hope to see it cruising around eastern Ontario.
I'm such an idiot - I had no idea the old Upper Canada club was still kicking around.
I need a shifter for a 3B. Does anyone have one they are willing to part with?
Thanks & have a great Christmas & New Year!
Wow - that is really nice!
I wish this was available back in August - before I bought my '77.
Good luck with the sale & I hope the next owner appreciates all the effort put into it.
FWIW - if that truck was raised in Saskatchewan all it's life, the rust and rot would be a lot less than in most other parts of Canada. The winter weather there is so cold that the roads department does not use salt - it just doesn't work. They use a coarse sand with gravel bits, so there are a...
If the 45 is located in southern Ontario, I'll take a look at it if you want. I won't scoop it on ya - my yard is full & I already have too much stuff kicking around.
I helped getting the price closer to Whitey's magic number. . . . I was leading the charge with about 8 seconds to go:doh: And I wasn't even scared off by the 'lack of title'
Did a mudder get it? I truly hope so . . .
Wish it was me, but hope Whitey is good with the price.
Hey Whitey.
I really don't need another 45 or diesel but. . . . . I just can't help myself.
Do you have access to get the floor boards, new bed and the other body parts required? I think it might be easier for you to get your hands on them.
Other than my 45, I haven't seen another in...
For what it's worth
I have two 40 series that run a 3B. One has a turbo & intercooler and is mated to a 5 speed while the other is a stock unit with a 4 speed. I have the turbo dialed in at 11 pounds and do notice better acceleration but the big upside is the 5 speed. The 3B with the 4 speed...
I've decided
After reckless consideration - I've decided to fill in the now vacant $ 100K+ market. I will sell any of mine for $ 100K. I might even take a few bucks less if there is a multi vehicle purchase.
Also - I will take Canadian $ at par. What a bargain!!
That being said, I have been told that TLC is not building too may of the retro rides any more, probably bc there is no money to be made. It takes too much time to repair rust etc. for it to be profitable. He is using new Aqualu bodies.
This sounds funny - they can't turn a profit because...
