    60 Series SOA Caster Angle

All most done. I have moved the front diff forward 25mm (1") for the better approach angle. There has been a couple of unseen "gotchya's and things I have noticed". The welder and grinder are your friends! Extended brake lines that are heaps longer than stock and seem to be long...

    60 Series SOA Caster Angle

Well I just went ahead and gave it a 5.5* and will see how that goes. I had everything from 2.5* to 9* suggested. I won't be running larger than 37.5 my normal tyres are 33 and my play tyres are 35. The way I see it, if I'm off I can always add wedges or c&t again.

    60 Series SOA Caster Angle

How does your 60 handle at hwy speeds with the 4deg caster? I was thinking of 6deg caster but have been told that will chew out the tyres. Anyone else out there with a SOA that would like to add to this link? My son had a 60 with SOA and it handled better than mine with stock diffs. problem...

    Dual Transfer Cases?

I've been busy with work so have not got anywhere. Guess the first thing is the stip down the case not on the car. I was gonna do the dogey thing and not worry about cleaning it up but the other look soooo nice. Other problem is I want to do a springover and have a spare set of diff housings...

    Dual Transfer Cases?

I have a second Toyota transfer case and was thinking of grafting it onto my original case instead of installing rockhopper gears. This would give me greater choice in reduction gearing. Has anyone on this forum done this with the Toyota cases? Did it work? What did you do and would you do it...

AltFuel BioDiesel killed My Fuel System

The fuel pumps were labled with "Contains BioDlesel" and nothing else (no % or anything). Do not know if the regs here in australia are different. Of course, that is why diesel has a shelf life and the oil refineries have impellars in their Diesel storage tanks that keeps the diesel moving...

    fj61 only RH

My 1988 FJ62 has the Square Headlights. I'm sure they were a crossover between the 60 and 80 series. There are a couple of weird things that I do find from time to time. The dash top around the insturment cluster is styled in the shape of a 80 series not a 60. Another oddity is the ash try in...

AltFuel  BioDiesel killed My Fuel System

Hi all. Well I learnt an expensive lesson why I didn't use bio diesel in the past. Just to back-track a tad in time... Engine is a GM 6.5lt V8 diesel (in my FJ62) only rebuilt some 5 years ago. No power (40kmh going up steep hills) Surging (most noticable when tank was almost emtpy) Slight...

    FJ 62 SOA begins!

So have you tested the waters with side angles and stability yet now your some 6" higher? Did the articulation suffer in the name of keeping things on four wheels and not the side?

    2" Ironman Lift

Whilst not a crusier, I had a 2" Iornman lift on a Ford Raider (Mazda b2600 with wagon body and rebadged Ford). The only problem was the wrong bushes were sent. Got it sorted overnight without a problem. I maybe in Australia but live some 680 miles away so overnight was not too bad. Flex was...
