I use the 'condom' sock and its amazing the amount of dust and other crap it collects. I would never run a snorkel with out one. It would seem to me that the cap type filter sock would posably get water logged if driving in the rain or from puddle splash, weither this affects it or not i dont...
I have a HJ60 with factory pto winch and put on 45 meters ( about 145 feet ) of 9/16 7 core wire . It all fitted on there good. maybe 3/4 inch freeboard on side of winch drum. Hope this helps

I have the same issue in my HJ61. I have tried three springs and harder springs all to no avail. So when I wheel now i set hand throttle to about 1100rpm and this is my 'cruise' speed if i need more rpm i stamp the gas. If you do find a good fix let me know. Cheers.
I just got my first set of 35's today and am so excited. They are Simex Extream Treakers II 35x12.5x15 on black 15x10 ROH rims. I put them on my truck and went for a drive through my farm. Wooh what a differance in gearing after running 33s. The compound is quite soft so I will only run them...

Check the seals around your tail gate, because as you drive at high speeds with your windows down it creates the "venturi effect" whitch means that air is being sucked out your windows not being forced in, thus creating a vacume in your truck. Air is then sucked in to the truck through any gap...
