Ahhhh. That’s why it’s disconnected.
Ok se here is what mine looks like. I cleaned out with contact cleaner, but should I replace it altogether?
I can’t tell if it’s best to remove all the wrapping and start over or just go minimal… thoughts?
Not sure what you mean, “high resistance or shorting together”.
No there is definitely something else going on that’s drawing power. I’m going to get after this fuse and then move on to looking for that.
I did find something else interesting. While checking all wires I could find I came...
That was it! Didn’t even know that was a thing.
Tomorrow I’m gonna look into replacing it. It looks different than what I found online - it has these round plastic connections, so I’ll do a little more research and get after it.
Thanks guys. Really appreciate it
Reaching out for some help before taking to the mechanic.
Here's the issue... starts just fine and gauges (oil psi, volts, fuel, xmsn tach) are working UNTIL she warms up. Once she reaches operating temperature around 180 then all the gauges go out and she won't start until she cools down...
No. He never got back to me. I told him I was really interested and we set a time to meet but then he never confirmed and ghosted me. Never heard back from him and now the ad is gone.
maybe he kept it or sold it. Not sure. No issues though. Hopefully it was one of y’all if he sold it!
Hey man. Yeah I keep seeing that one, but doesn’t pass the gut check for me. I’ve passed because something isn’t right on it for me.
I’m guessing that other guy decided not to sell after all
Honestly I’d also recommend you go ahead and reach out. I don’t think he’s hurting for lined up buyers so get on his radar sooner than later. Even if things jump I get it and Zero issues man. If it’s meant to be it’ll be.
Owner got back to me and said he has people from FL to MI wanting to come check it out. Crazy how the LC market is right now. KBB values are at 12,800 for excellent quality - meaning clean title, but these are all being sold at 18K plus right now.
GO CAPITALISM!!!
thanks CakeMountain!
I've just been slowly looking for the right one. Both 80 and 100 eras... Looked for over a year for my 62 and she came along. Right one always does
Thanks man...
Going out on a limb here, but it looks like that passenger seat has been reupholstered and that stain / carpet... maybe they did bleed out. Ha
But I don't care if it's a solid cruiser.
