I’d take 5 months over the 16 months my first one took. It was slowed down by further investigation into a small “blip” they noticed every few years. The “blip” was from each time my security clearance was being renewed as an active duty service member, but shows up to the ATF as a flag 😒...
It looks like NC shares reciprocity with VA, so you’re good there. Then it’s an issue of carrying in a Nat’l Forrest. Quick glance looks like it’s ok as long as it’s allowed in the state the forest is in.
It was supposed to be a standalone bill to expedite funding and separate from a combined U.S. border-security/Ukraine/Israel bill that was really just weighted towards another metric s***-ton of money to Ukraine.
Well…that’s awesome, but the silver was the primer for the black top coat. I still have the unopened can. $250 gets you the paint and a free set of axles 🤣
Well over half the states in the Union allow open carry, most people just don’t know about it and hardly ever see it. NC was open carry when I first got there 20+ yrs ago.
Gotcha…looked up a picture of it. If that‘s the safe that you really like and checks off all your other needs better than any others, I think you could probably solve the fluted back issue with some plastic sheeting and gorilla tape. Honestly though, since we’re in a pretty temperate climate...
My mom is moving closer to us and is downsizing. I was helping go through her things and found the original sales receipt from my dad’s AR-15 he bought in 1969. I don’t have the rifle…it was designated for my brother after dad passed away, but I’m going to make sure he gets this. $182 out the...
She isn’t conditioned to pay as much attention to that car as she is when driving the LC. She said she noticed and refilled it when the temp warning buzzer went off. The radiator cap rubber failed and between that and a slight leak in the t-stat housing, I’m pretty sure it all just steamed out...
After learning to wrench on the LCs, I’ve begun paying more attention to my wife’s daily driver (‘15 Highlander) and doing things myself. The coolant was leaking, so I investigated and figured out it was the t-stat housing gasket. No problem…ordered the parts from Toyota and went ahead and threw...
Looks like MSRP is $1089. In the past for private sales I’ve gone with 80-85% of MSRP for good condition…although all those were well broken in.
Let us know what you find out if you check GB. I’m wondering what the interest is for single-stack 1911’s now with a couple new-ish double stacks...
Before I did my windshield, I spent too much time reading through old threads about the horror stories of installing it yourself and how it was a 7 1/2  job. I had no other choice so I went looking for the materials listed in the FSM and, like you, was told they were no longer produced...
I’m torn. I like some aspects of the base model with the round headlights to give it a nod to the 40 and 60 series, but the modern design throws me off a little. At the same time I understand it is a modern 2024 vehicle. I think I like it but I’m not overwhelmed… I am slightly above average...
Another one followed me home today….
Saw this 80 sitting under an awning at a drive-thru cigarette/beer place on the way home from Relic Run. It was only about 35 minutes from the house. Stopped to ask about it and the employee said it had been there for as long as she had been there. Long...
