Passenger side leak at floor board

Wow ok. I had the fenders off when I restored the chassis, I had the body off also. Should have addressed that then but I'm buying new fenders so... I think I need to fix this leak though quickly, since I have new carpet in also. Thanks for the info!

Passenger side leak at floor board

I'll look at that area, thanks. As for the rain gutter in the roof, does that get in and go down the windsheild pillar? I'm not sure that's the term for that?

Passenger side leak at floor board

I'm hoping someone can point this right out. I've had this leak, pooling water, right at the hinge pillar on the floor board at the passenger side. I tried placing tissue paper up above in a couple locations and they were dry, so it's coming from somewhere other than those paths. I just...

For Sale  Rear Bumper Ends Caps FJ62

Note-These are for the 3 piece bumper, not the typical FJ62 single or one piece bumper. These are Toyota parts, not aftermarket. They are brand new in the box. Left and right. I want $100.00. I'll box them up and bring them to the shipper, you pay for shipping.

    Melt Down?

Hi Matt, Are you talking about also replacing the tumbler that the key inserts in? In addition to the switch?

Also the motor mounts from Matt are great by the way!

It might be too late but maybe this will help. I used Matts motor mounts and had them welded on by a mobile welder. I wished I had located them 1/2 lower and half inch forward from where I did mount them. I have the same exact power train as you're using. The hood closes just fine but I...

OEM Oil pressure gauge getting signal from 5.3 oil pressure sending unit.

What would be the result If I take the singal wire from the 2000 Tahoe 5.3 using it's oil pressure sending unit that I swapped into my 88 FJ62 and send that signal directly to the FJ62 oil pressure gauge?

    Melt Down?

Thanks Matt, what I ultimately discovered is that two of my original wires to the battery, with fusible links were loose. I fixed those and installed a new ignition switch. No issues since and no other wires were affected. I don't understand enough about this circuit to figure out why the...

    Melt Down?

Answer is no, that was just to test. Test is done, can't fault me for taking it apart and looking inside. That switch looks nice Matt. I ordered one already. But I could return it.

    Melt Down?

I think I might have found the source but not sure yet. I dissected the two burnt wires, they were IG2 and AM2. I covered them with electricians tape and re installed the switch and the truck started right up. I monitored everything closely and nothing got hot. I turned the truck off and did...

    Melt Down?

No I'm not. I will check. Is your theory that it could be burnt somewhere else and that area might be a worn wire grounding out to metal? What's strange is that these ignition wires are the biggest wires in the whole circuit, except the big Alternator wires.

    Melt Down?

Since the wires were only burnt between the switch and the first black connector is it safe to say the short to ground has to be between those two points? These wires in this ignition switch "harness" are the biggest wires in the circuit as far as I can tell. Does that tell me that the short...

    Melt Down?

It's the ignition switch harness. The factory soldered joints at the switch down to the connector is the portion that had the two wires melt. They're pretty big wires. This is on my LS swap, yes. I haven't done anything in this area though. It's a heavily wrapped and protected section of...

    Melt Down?

I have this melt down that occurred from the ignition switch to the connector. Two wires, I can't tell what color they were. The female connector wires were Black with a green stripe and black with a blue stripe. Any ideas why the melt down happened between the switch and the connector?

    Wires for Swap 88 FJ62 to 2000 Tahoe 5.3

Hey Dubs, I ended up using the wire that went to my coil from the IGN. I installed a bus bar (that's what I call it) and then ran my switched power needs to that bus bar.
