Reviving this thread because I’ve encountered a similar problem as @bamachem did back in 2011.
Three days ago, CEL came on with codes P1300, P1315, and P1330, which are malfunctions in the IGF/IGT circuits at coils 1, 4, and 7, respectively. All three cylinders are on the same IGF1 circuit with...
I’m running a 7.5” wide wheel that, with 1” spacers, nets me 3.75” backspacing, and my 37x12.5r17 Goodyear MTRs (which are true to size at 36.9”) don’t rub the radius arms or outer fender lips. Running a setup in which the wheel mounting surface is centered with the wheel width (i.e. 0 offset)...
That’s the truth 👆🏽. Also, @GW Nugget did a ton of an experimenting to figure out the ideal backspacing for stuffing 37x12.50 with low lifts (<3”). His build thread has like 5 years worth of trial and error.
EFI relay was bad. Replaced it and zero issues since. Would be worth stopping by your local chain auto parts store and picking up one for $20 and giving it a try.
Yet there are plenty of folks whose “rebuilt” unit from him lasted 2-6 months.
you are correct. Motor can be rebuilt, MC plunger replaced, and a few grommets can be replaced, but that’s it.
Here is what it looks like in a 100:
Milford Cargo Barrier Write-up - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/milford-cargo-barrier-write-up.224998/post-3376543
It’s still in the original box in my garage, has never been mounted, but I can pull it out and take photos for you.
To my knowledge the...
I tested the old relay and it seems to be working fine at room temp on the bench. It is the original relay, so 33 years old at this point. I may pop it open and investigate.
Given the truck would start and run fine when cold every morning, and didn’t go into fail mode until after driving for...
I have everything that was ever made available for this vehicle 😬
Also, I picked up a cheap aftermarket EFI relay and swapped it in after the new fuse started melting. Fuse is no longer melting and truck is still running 40 minutes later. I’ll check the O2 sensor wiring now.
OK - Getting somewhere. Pulled the EFI fuse in the main fuse box (engine bay) and it has burnt up on one leg. Melted the plastic shroud of the fuse there.
So now the question is - what the hell caused that?
