So I ended up just wrapping them in teflon tape and they seem to be holding, but I cant image this is a long tern solution. They are bound to leak.
@Randy88FJ62 that hydrophilic fitting looks like it would work. Going to place an order.
Thanks for all the help.
Mishimoto Customer Service did not have great answers. They claim the factory fittings should work so I could track those down and work back to the transmission lines or they suggest cutting the existing adapters so the crush washer fits flush and use some blue thread locker. Summit Racing...
Thanks. PO added a tranny cooler, so we good there. Went to Ace, cause it’s the place, and determined the threads are not your standard gas or plumbing size.
so now I have an email out to Mishimoto customer service and will prob head down to the local Napa to ask some questions.
thanks for the...
Fairly new to mechanic work, but it has been great working on my 62. I have been working on replacing the timing cover gasket, crank seal and radiator.
I am putting in a Mishimoto radiator and attempting to attach the transmission lines, but the adapters bottom out before sitting flush against...
Toyota #6626
Fairly good shape a few scratches on the some of the buttons. I was able to hook up to my 62 and unit functions as it should. Knowing from experience tho the tape decks in these units were not meant to last 30 years, I have replaced two already, but for now the deck works great...
Found these at a thrift store today. I know in the 62 a couple of different radios were installed. I have the Toyota 6626, which was expensive and tough to find. I believe these would have came out of a Corolla, Toyota 2638. The plugs are the same as the 6626 but there is an extra plug near the...
2x on the ignition items. My 62 only has trouble starting in wet conditions (rain, heavy dew, etc) and it is ready for a tune up. Considering it doesn't get that wet in southern CA I have been putting it off
Similar but mine goes front corner to back corner, nothing on the front or back, and doesn’t have the lower stripe.
I would assume the striping is either added at the dealership or added by the purchaser later.
My 62 has a white and red pinstripe the full length of the truck on both sides.
Was this an option offered by Toyota or something the owner added later?
I have grown to really like it. Should I have it repainted or keep as is?
I believe you are looking for the inner felt and there should be metal tabs holding it to the panel.
Cruiser Corp sells them, I just replaced my driver side last month
Installed today. Flawless. When mounting I just zip tied to the door (shrug)
One of the best mods- under $50, limited skill need, start to finish in an afternoon.
Agreed this should be stickied
Thanks again for the write up
