Well folks, I am entertaining the idea of letting this go. I did not realize how difficult it is to get parts for these and in my older years its not as easy for me to work on stuff like this anymore.
I am asking $4500, however, I am open to offers; I am located in Southern California, South...
Ok. Here goes....
Don't really know a damn thing about these, so going to have a ton of questions.
Hoping the front seat will be here soon (Greyhound).
Got a new master cylinder and it's time to bleed the brakes. Anyone know what size the port plugs are, so I can bench bleed this thing...
Not sure, however, thinking the stock size was about 205/75-15. Thinking of going with a slightly taller, narrow tire. Not crazy about the 31x10.5 tires that are on there now.
Any idea of the tallest/tallest/narrowest I can run on this? Provided I can buy the tires easily without special...
With original parts so difficult to find, I figured there would be a lot of custom stuff out there.
Anyone have any custom stuff they want to show off? I need ideas!
Anyone ever use one of these? They look like they work pretty good, just never tried it before. I borrowed my neighbors pressure washer, but it just won't get down to the metal. There's one on the Eastwood website that's $70. Just wondering if I should go for it, thought I would ask here first...
I plan on doing this as a one-man job. Going to use the tubing submerged in brake fluid. Does anyone the order on which to do this? I presume the closest to the master cylinder first?
It is 3/16" ID tubing, correct?
Any suggestions for this? Heard some people use Muriatic acid, let it soak for a day or so, then baking soda and vinegar.
There's no sludge or anything nasty in mine, just some loose stuff. A new fuel tank is probably expensive.
Looking for something that really kicks ass when it come to stripping paint. Multiple layers, down to the metal.
I tried the citrus orange stuff, it works ok, however, it doesn't go deep.
Any suggestions?
Hello everyone!
Just picked one up pretty cheap (I think), and it needs some work. It runs, just can't drive it since the brakes don't work.
Also need a front seat - wondering if they need aftermarket ones for these, the bench style. Needs all new rubber around the windows too., and door panels...
