Any further input here? I found an 85 front bumper and wondering if it will fit regarding frame width/mounts, etc. Were there any changes. Also it's on a 4WD and mines a 2WD if that's useful. Thanks
That would be great news. Would break my heart to restore this crazy low mile unusual vehicle, only to tag a deer and watch it get towed to the junkyard. Anyone with one of the above ARBs interested in getting me some basic measurements? If yes, I'll send what I think makes sense (Total...
Nice score on the headers!!!! My You-Pull score last week was a pair of BMW M3 front seats for the Sunrader. Heated leather, fully articulated, extending thigh support for long trips, etc. They sell all day long for $950 plus shipping. Paid $32.50. For the pair.....
Nice! I'm up here in N. Idaho with a 1982 22R manual tranny Sunrader restoration in full swing. I'll doubtless need to rebuilt the carb for the diaphragms, so I'll be reaching out to you. Cheers.
So, I'm restoring a low mile 1982 Toyota Sunrader (32k miles!) and want to protect it from my area's frequent deer/animal collisions when I'm done in late spring. ARB USA no longer sells the bumper for this model, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if the ARB for the newer gen pickup can be...
Curious about the ARB option as it's my favorite design with the upper protection across the entire front. My main purpose is to protect this super low mile and somewhat collectible rig from the errant deer hit. So, would love to know if the fit issue works as I'll trim the bumper to fit. I'll...
Any update on your smoke? As someone pointed out, the valve seals will be rock hard plastic by now, though they left the factory as rubber. So that's the #1 suspect to me. Nice find on the truck!
Bought a 1982 Sunrader and have plans for revamping the living quarters this winter. It only has 32k miles on it, so I'd also like to protect the cab/front end from deer hits - very common in our area. Wanted an ARB, but apparently no longer available for my generation.
Does anyone know...
Yup. So somehow over filling the birf appeared to damage the inner wheel bearing seal. Displaced the spring, even caused a piece of the rubber lip to get torn off. Perhaps it jammed the lip tightly on the spindle's seal lip running surface and it overheated? Hard to reconcile considering it...
So, I grabbed a flight out, and am in DC to square the Cruiser away. Grabbed tools and seals, threw them in my luggage and will get 'er done in a driveway starting in a few minutes. Details later. Reason this has to be taken care of is that she's moving cross country in a couple weeks. Will...
OTRAM, or anyone who can reach him right now this evening. Could you call me on my phone above? I am 10 mins from buying an airline ticket out there with all parts and tools in hand. If anyone has his text or other way of reaching him - minutes count tonight. Thanks.
My daughter has our 80 in Annandale, VA just outside the beltway. The LF wheel began smoking and its birfield grease on the inboard surface of backing plate. As routine maintenance, I added grease to the plug about 500 miles ago, checked tightness of the 4 lower knuckle nuts and left town. Then...
Bought our 80 new and still have the window sticker and original brochure. Brochure states 16" forged aluminum wheels and those brochures went past the product teams and legal for review so they were pretty well vetted against mistakes.
Looking for a grey leather headrest for front passenger seat, please. If possible, please text to 208-762-3451 as I'm a busy Dad and haven't been on Mud as much lately. Regards, Doug
