My LX has developed an annoying noise in the dash. I’ve isolated as best I can and decided it’s a cooling fan associated with radio/nav unit (???). It sounds like an electric fan that’s giving up. With HVAC off the noise is there. With the engine off in ACC mode the noise is there.

By ‘13 paint matching had rounded the corner. A good shop should be able to make it look great. Save the above pic so if you ever resell it and somebody happens to notice you can show them how minor the damage was.
In the early/mid-00’s paint poly became weighted plastic bits instead of metal...
When I was looking at vehicles I also considered a 5th gen 4Runner and a GX460. I really liked pretty much everything about the GX as a daily driver car (tailgate would take a while to bond with). The 4Runner resale was too strong and the roof/windshield too low but I found the GX to be...
My ‘13 came with LED license plate lights. The chances of both being burned out is slim IMHO. I’d bet on something came unplugged or possibly some corrosion at a connector.

Using a GPS I determined the ODO was under reporting by about 1.5% with 285/50 tires, with the 275/70/20 (marketed as 33.0”) it under reports by 5.4%-5.5%. My real, using a calculator, mpg is...
I would also add that the video shows ”normal” gear lash in the rear axle. There is some clearance between the ring gear and the pinion gear on purpose. Spider gears in the diff also contribute in a minor way to the lash or play. If you don’t have a bit of lash then, when things warm up, the...
The 200 series is a very robust structure and any traditional jacking methods should be fine. Many sports cars have to be lifted carefully, the LC is not in that category. The 200 is no more complex to jack than a ten year old Chevy truck.
Yes. There’s a range of fore and aft movement available and the seat back angle is also adjustable. I’m 6’1” and can ride in the back comfortably. It’s not the best back seat I’ve ridden in but it’s far from the worst.
