I've got the Toyos on my 200 and the Falkens on my 100. Both are great tires. I've got 40k on the Toyos and they look like they'll go another 10k or so. The Falkens are slightly cheaper, so I might go that route when the Toyos wear out. Can't go wrong with either one, though.
My other cars are:
2016 Audi S6 with ~600hp
2023 Mercedes Sprinter 170 AWD currently being built out into a camper van.
Was going to replace the Audi with a new RS6, but I had a change of heart when I got the email from the dealer that I was next on the allocation list. Decided a Sprinter...
Yeah, we're remodeling our house and adding a Sprinter garage. You need a 10 foot door (or taller) for one of these. They make the RS6 look inexpensive, too. o_O
Yeah, this thread has certainly turned into an either/or debate when I look at it differently. I'll never get rid of my 200, but the thought of pairing it in the garage with an R1S is very appealing to me. Best of both worlds, especially since I'm apparently never getting the RS6 I ordered...
I went with the Toyos on the 200 due to lower weight (already have the Falkens on the 100). Less rotating mass = incrementally better performance. Both tires are great and I would buy either one again. Also, Falken used to be a less expensive tire. That was no longer the case when I got the...
The noise on the Toyos is a bit overblown, IMO. You can hear them a bit more if you listen, but i don't even notice it anymore. I would not hesitate to get them again. YMMV if you are very sensitive to sounds.
I would get the Falkens again as well.
The Falkens don't sing on the highway above ~60 mph like the Toyos do. Around town I can't tell any difference. That's my experience, anyway.
Both are E-rated LT tires.
