I didn't have time to do oil change so went to Jiffy Lube. The tech said that my 700 amp rated battery showed an output of slightly more than 400 amps. His thoughts were that I should replace it sooner than later. I can't remember ever having a battery tested before it was "dead", so am not...
This past fall on the afternoon before a weeklong rafting trip, I somehow broke off a large section of wisdom tooth. Fortunately, there was no pain and I was able to gather 1st aid materials for it together and went on the trip. Ended up giving those to a fellow who developed problems after our...

There are photos and write-up of a trip that my wife and I made through this area last summer posted up here:

Anyone have any recommendations for one of the battery boost/jump start devices? My standard transmission Tacoma will start easily by rolling off a slight incline, but I do not always think to park in such a place. I can't recall ever having a dead battery out in the hills, but having the backup...
I wondered about that. Feon seems to be available online for $200 for 25lb container. Not sure whether EPA certification is required to be able to purchase Freon. I am pretty sure that if I went that route, I would void any warranty. I talked with one fellow today, who said that any registered...
Thanks for all of the responses. I am in Tucson so I will not be able to take advantage of references to specific businesses. The warranty is poor. It has a 5 year parts and a 2 year labor. Of course, we are just outside the labor coverage! There was no warranty for replacement Freon. It is...
My home AC has lost all of its 410a freon. The unit is 2.5 years old. It cost me $485 for the dye test so the technician can find the warranteed part........Once the part is replaced, it will cost me $75 per pound(16 pounds needed) for 410a freon. Those prices seem excessive. Are they?
Nice pictures! It looks like the Rug Road area is getting to be pretty rugged....What route did you take from Klondyke into the Grahams? Did you go through to the Swift Highway?
One of my brother in laws was up in the area a few days ago. He says that the "Kiss Rock" area is back to being pretty rough. His passengers in a 4 seat side by side were pretty intimidated.
I wished that I could get away and see this in person. Flows are supposed to reach 43,000 cfs for several days.

Unless things have changed in recent years, the area east of Winkelman and north of the Aravaipa was closed to non-tribal persons. There used to be a map online that had that info.
If you haven't found a transmission yet, I have one out of my 68 that you can have. But I am in Tucson. It was working when we pulled it out quite a few years ago to convert to Chevy 4 speed. It has been slightly modified(too many years ago to remember what was done). I went the small block...
Looks like you all had a gret time. Did anyone happen to take a side trip and go over and check out Blue Ridge Reservoir? I have just read that the lake is being drawn down so that dam repairs can be done and that the boat launch may not be useable? I was just curious if anyone had any recent...
I guess that I was caught by a photo camera and now have to go to school. I see that there are several online schools available. Any one have any recommendations?
A crew came in with a jackhammer and air chisels and removed the majority of the plaster. Once that was done, I was really surprised that it only took a few hours to spray in and finish the new plaster. The guys told me that when times were good that they would plaster two pools a day. I don't...
Boy! This is certainly something that I do not want to hear!! We had our pool re-plastered two years ago. It was estimated from the age of the pool equipment that the pool was originally installed around 30 years ago. We have now lived in the house 20 years. None of the neighbors ever remember...
If your house is the neighborhood "hang out" place then the pool will probably be a hit. Ours wasn't, so our teenagers spent their time at the neighbor's pool up the street(we were too strict for the kids' liking....) Our grandkids, who are just little guys, live in it when they come to visit...
