I recently bought a low mile 463 G550. It was my dream car. I loved it… for one day. I drove my kids to school and back home. Next time I turned it on I got a CEL so back to the dealer it went. Never saw it again. After about a week the dealer said, “We’re waiting on a new head gasket and some...
Limited depth? I run a 36”L Vari (Ruffland Large is 35”) in my 100 everyday with the door facing the tailgate with room to spare and sometimes a 3rd row seat. Two 36” Varis will sit side by side without the 3rd row seats. Is that a 40” XL size? I’ve moved 60-70lb labs for years in 36” kennels...
What were your symptoms of sticking calipers? I have what feels like bad rotors (shaking wheel, consistent pulsing) but they haven’t got worse over the past year, rotors look fine, and emergency braking isn’t comprised. A sticking caliper might be my issue.
Lots of people had bad experiences with Safelite. I’ve a few JL windshields replaced with no problem and now the same can be said for the LX.
TL,DR: Safelite was great.
My tech knew what he was going despite taking 3 visits to get the job done. The first visit he realized the prior install...
Mile High City 100 OAT, I’ll hit 205 sitting in traffic with the AC cranked and rear air on. If that happens, I’ll shift to N to get the engine RPM and fan turning faster plus turn off the AC which prevents the temp from climbing. Once I’m moving it drops back to 195. During the summer the fan...
Would a booster or master cylinder issue cause a warped rotor type brake feel? I’ve always thought it was a rotor issue but now I’m beginning to think there are pressure imbalance because the wobble will go away in certain situations.
I have a Safelite appointment next week. I talked with the tech who was replacing the windshield on my Jeep last week. I asked him about the rivets and rust. He took the time to show me the drill bit attachment he uses to remove the rivets and the assortment of new rivets. Fingers crossed.
Winner!
I normally appreciate the Toyota engineers for putting that metal drip guide on the housing, but it in times like these it was a PITA.
Crisis averted.
I’m in a jam here. The oil filter is crushed. Screwdriver trick didnt work. Channel locks just twist the filter more.
Any advice or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
ETA: it was a 209 filter. The filter wrench pinched the metal and it was all downhill from there. Lubed filter ring upon...

I’ll need whatever tips and installer recommendations I can get. My windshield has a full width crack and several deep hits.
I would like to do it the best way possible then have the strongest windshield film applied.
