Quick question. What size wire should I run from a 12v battery to my Blue Sea fuse block? I am having a hard time finding the size of the wires to run from the positive and negative terminals to a Blue Sea fuse block.
Finally attached my bypass hose about a week ago.
@kirvesmies thanks for the welcome! haha, it has definitely created a few close calls of buying things I really shouldn't. Whether another FJ or more parts. I guess all things in moderation... Great! I will give that a try soon! I should look into the local clubs, I have met a few others over...
Thank you, Rob!
That helps. Also, do you have a steering stabilizer? If so can you post a picture of it attached and what kind it is? When you have a chance. I got an OME one with either my tie rod end kit or OME suspension kit and it didn't work for me. Unless I didn't ever want to turn left. lol
Hey all!
This is my "first"/official build thread. I have a relatively young family, a 7-year-old and a 7-month-old. Things are slow regarding purchases and work done to the ole 60. However, I would like a resource to document some of my steps, ask for help, and make some friends along the way...
I know you posted this before, but I’m lazy. (and you have a extensive amount of threads for your work to look through) What size metal do you use or recommend when looking to patch around the rear quarters?
Thanks! Nothing specific. I have been needing to replace all mine and look into where to get them from. I have read something along those lines on, some are still easily available while others are a witch hunt.
Yes sir it has. I took it apart after trying the key again to be sure. I was going to take the assembly off again and just try to figure it out somehow. But figured I should just take pictures and post on here before fiddling around with it forever.
Okay, good to know! Mine is set in vertical then clockwise to horizontal. But either way doesn’t lock. I may need to get with him then and try to figure out where my problem is.
Gotcha, so I’m guessing it should be vertical to horizontal? I’m guessing my cylinder is rotated wrong when I put it back in.
Well just trying to keep the honest people honest for now. But I’ll definitely look into that some too!
So I’ve had my whole 60 re-keyed a while back for all the keys to match. I’ve never been able to get the hatch to lock. Well after some research found out that you give it a half turn clockwise, and pull the key out. Which I thought “Dummy me! That’s it!” Get to the truck and... Nope still...
It’s mine for sale. Any further questions and even suggestions please don’t hesitate to ask. If it’s going to a MUD member I’m willing to work with the price. Thanks in advance either way!

Thank you @g-man, I was able to finally get it all lifted up this morning. Called my buddy and asked for tips. He told me ratchet strap the axle forward to line up the pin. So with that and a little tightening I got it all in!
So just figured I’d ask on here for some quick advice. So installed OME leaf springs and shocks. Got to passenger side had a rough time. But finally got it all pretty much done. However I couldn’t line up the top of the spring pack “circle” with the hole on the bottom of the diff. After spending...
@g-man I appreciate that! I will definitely get into that and check. I just had a hard time reading the diagram and without having just a free hanging wire. I wasn't sure which harness to trace it from first. I'll get into it this weekend!
