Did the rear sway bar links/bushings last week, did the fronts today. I sprayed down the bolts with some PBlaster last night, and I noticed the suspension squeak was gone so I was hopeful that it truly was the old bushings and links causing the noise. After swapping them out for new parts, the...
Adding a spacer actually wouldn't change the ride height at all for a vehicle with AHC. They are used to reduce pressure even more. Sorry if my assumption was incorrect, but I took the bolded part to mean that you thought it would raise the ride height.
Congrats on the 0.5 MPa reduction, that's...
Very nice! When you replaced the springs, did you add in 30mm spacers that are commonly recommended? Also, did you take a pressure reading before the spring replacement to compare to the new numbers?
He questioned what it is and the effects of removing it, it aint a big deal man.
It cracks me up when these threads pop up, tbh it's not an easy thing to search for on the forums because how would anyone know what it is? I actually tested searching "What is this thing" and you can get results...
Changed out the rear sway bar links and bushings. It whipped my ass more than I expected. I've seen people say it's about 2 hours for front and rear, well I found out today I was never cut out to be a mechanic. I wouldn't be surprised if it took me 4 hours for just the rear. Anyway, I'll do the...
I'd like to get one of these Scangauge M1 mounts, but I remember at some point in the thread there was a discussion about the gray being off from the stone factory interior color. Has this issue been resolved?
I had a shop do a transmission service on my vehicle, then it started slipping. I took it back and they said it was a solenoid that needed replacing. I had already pulled the codes and seen that the truck was throwing a code pointing to the solenoid, but I (and others here) were convinced it was...
It might be a combination of things. Certainly the sun's rays don't feel as warm on your skin in a tinted vehicle, and the vehicle will cool down faster. I've always applied tint to protect the interior and reduce strain on the HVAC system.
Edit: Okay, @95Fantasma80 and I posted at the same...
The only way it makes a difference is if you're not out of the car for long. A tinted vehicle will heat up slightly slower, but the internal temperature of the vehicle will be the same with or without tint after a certain amount of time - and it doesn't take long.
Any physical damage. There will be fabric around the edge and there should be no holes in it. If the paper cone isn't secured, the speaker will sound a bit fart-y when playing bass notes. If it sounds scratchy, that would be the voice coil rubbing.
I probably would have done this but there is...
The rear door speakers on mine didn't have foam surrounds, they were cloth and still intact so I didn't have to repair those. Have you taken off the door panel to verify if the cone is not attached to the surround? It may be the speaker integrity is still there and something else is causing the...
You should be careful with front windshield tint and check your state laws. If you end up in an accident and they discover you had tint on the windshield, you could be held liable when you wouldn't have been otherwise.
Interesting method. I recently did a re-foam job on my front speakers and "subwoofer" using Simply Speakers foam. The door panel removal was maybe 10 minutes a side, and the rear trim removal to access the subwoofer wasn't much longer than that. I'm not sure the shortcut was worth the time...
