Hi MUDders – I'm looking for a set of roll bar brackets for a '77 FJ40. And I actually only need the halves that are welded to the "L" bars - pictured. Thanks!
Thanks all – greatly appreciated. I'm attaching a few images below that are hopefully helpful. The sticker on the carb reads "21100-61024 AISAN JAPAN."
Hi MUDders - I have an FJ40 with a Sept. '77 build date. I'd like to do some basic tuneup work for the first time (replacing plugs, wires, maybe even rebuild the carb) but many of the replacement parts I'm finding from SOR, CCoT, etc. have 9/77 as the cutoff date (example). Potentially dumb...
Seriously – everything I've seen looks rusted out and north of a grand. I have a bench in the back and want to install 3-point seat belts for the kiddos, so that kickout tube probably wouldn't work for me, but it looks perfect for a family top. Good luck!
Hi all - I'm looking for an OEM roll bar for a '77 FJ40. I don't actually need the L shaped bars, just the larger vertical bar and brackets, as I'm trying to replicate what I've seen others do in the below pics. Thanks!
Great looking rig – GLWS. Question: did you have the family cage built locally? I'm in Atlanta too and am looking for something similar (quasi-OEM looking but safer for kiddos in the back). Thanks!
Hi all - I have an ashtray door and the piece that mounts into the dash but am looking for the interior piece to which the door attaches – believe it's called the console but am not positive. Thanks!
Hi all - Does anyone know of a shop in the Atlanta area that could repair the rusted bottoms of my driver and passenger doors? I know you can buy skins for that purpose, but cutting and welding on a door is beyond my current skill set. Thanks!
Hi all - I'm planning on taking off my hardtop this weekend or next and am looking for a tailgate for a '77 FJ40. I have seen a few options online but thought I'd check here before buying anything. Ideally looking for something with that "stock" look and a license plate mount. Thanks!
Thanks, @Jdc1 - I actually asked when I was last there and they didn't have anyone they recommended, which I did think was a little odd. But will try again – maybe caught someone on an off day.
Morning Mudders - I know @ACC Toyota is the place for any and all things mechanical, but wanted to know who you all recommend for body work (cutting out rust, replacing front door bottoms, blasting and painting) in the Atlanta area? While I'd like to take it all on myself, family time...
[Solved — the window guide was blocking the mechanism. Now to figure out where that is supposed to be...] Hi MUD - Hoping someone has solved this one before. The latch on my driver side door won’t release using either handle. I took the panel off and everything looks like it should. And I’ve...
