The windscreen wiper motor on my RHD 2004 78 Series Troopy (Narrow nose) is extremely tired, and these cannot be rebuilt or reconditioned.
Ive checked and compared the Yota part numbers and prices for my model year and the newer wide nose post 2009 models

I have the standard 2F alternator - which is only rated at 35A. :censor:
This is much too low. So I took it to an AutoSparky and had it uprated by having it rewound, the max they said they could now achieve was 75A.
But my problem still persists; with the lights and wipers on, the voltage...
Has anybody fitted a cardan joint to the rear propshaft of a FJ40, the one with the propshaft emergency brake.
My FJ40 has a 4" lift and the resulting propshaft angle is causing exceesive stress on the rear transfer case oil seal resulting in significant leaking.

I have just returned from an extended 8 day trip in the 40 series to the Kalahari desert, but unfortunately the 40 had to be trailered the last 450km home due to a mysterious overheating problem.

Widscreen Wiper Problem
Driving home on Friday in one of the infamous African thunderstorms (2" of rain in 1hr) and the windscreen wipers died on me AAARRGGHH .

The 2F fuel pump also does not have the return fuel line...
