I have the HF one as well and doesn't do much if anything for me. Especially in winter in Montana where i don't see the sun. I have had good success with a cheap black and decker maintainer from Amazon that i wired a cigarette lighter adapter up to. I did jump the relay in the fuse box so the...

Says right there in the description that’s what you need. Just order it up and put it in it’s a quick project.

It’s only 200 bucks here
I believe that confusion is that the land cruisers didn’t have tilt wheel on the 98-03 like the Lexus part that your looking at did. Or maybe the cruiser added tilt in 03 only and there’s a overlap. My lx is a 99 and the 98-03 PN fit but since I don’t have a 03 I can’t guarantee 💯
That's what I would recommend. I just keep my cut up socket along with the basic tools to get me home if it was to break again. It's easy to get the ignition out if need be.
It’s easy to get the truck going as long as you have the tools and then do the replacement once your home. I would definitely at least order up the eBay part and keep the tools in the truck now. It’s not if but when unfortunately.
So I cut a 10mm deep socket and keep a extra long extension on hand along with a wire coat hanger piece about a foot long. The coat hanger can fish out the broken piece and then the socket will grab the half that’s still in there so you can start it. Just make sure the key is close to the...

Keep the old one in the glove box just in case. I have a socket that I cut a slot in that will turn the cylinder if it breaks just in case. Of course you still need the key next to the sensor for the antitheft. I drove around with a socket and a extension as my ignition for a few weeks until it...
Smart.
It’s a quick swap. Takes longer to bleed. Now you don’t have to worry about it.
Get yourself a spare on of these as well and thank me later.

Scrambling to get my chores done prior to winter. It was mid 30's already this morning here and was thinking of trying a block heater this year. Don't want to deal with a freeze plug install and was wondering if anyone here is running the kind that you splice into the radiator hose.
