I bought these for 2006 (non-sport):
They don't fit exact. They seem to sit a little too high, so the hood fits real snug and there is 1/4" gap on the bottom. But they look a lot better than the old ones. Also bought LED bulbs for low beams and fog lights. I can see clearly now.
Oil changes was one of my concerns w the ARB skids but there are big cut outs right under the oil plug and transmission plug. Oil filter is accessible up front. Don’t know where that rumor came from, because I thought I read that too, but it looks good. Haven’t done an oil change w it yet but...
I installed ARB Skid Plates Toyota Prado 120/150 & 4runner/FJ Cruiser w/o KDSS, 5421100 today.
Existing plates were pretty beat up; missing half their hardware, bent out of shape (by me...), 2 bolts were snapped off deep in frame holes (not by me). That took the most time. Tried to tap them...
Took it in. Sure enough, power steering pump. $420 parts and labor. I asked the wife, "I can buy a pump for about $100 and youtube my way through it!" The shop will have it done tomorrow.
Key is turned on, but engine is off. Last night, with fluid already filled to proper level, I jacked it up, with key on engine off, remove power steering reservior cap and turn from stop to stop 10x. Still drove rough. Jacked it up again and did the same thing with engine running. Still...
Jacked it up again tonight, turned air out. It did improve a bit but its still rough. I wonder if the steering pump is the next step? Gonna probably take it in to the $hop...this is going to delay sliders.
I'll give this a try today. The local shop quoted me $260 for a synthetic flush. So far I'm into it for about $20, so really hoping I didn't mess this up!
2006 GX470, 168k miles, steering has been moaning and groaning, so I figured I would flush the power steering fluid.
Basically followed this method:
Pumped out the dirty nasty smelly old fluid, likely original. Added about 1.25 quarts of Valvoline MaxLIfe ATF synthetic. Dexron II or III is...

My mostly stock 2006 gets 18/21. I run regular, cheapest stuff they have at Costco typically. I'm also at 6,600', and my understanding is that high altitude negates any benefits of premium fuel. I have put premium in it many times, don't notice much difference but have not scientifically...
damn, bumper looks great and seems cheap...until I add up the extra $700! I really like the look of dissent's bumper, partly because of extremely high quality looking welds. but I like this one because of no trimming...but its not welded.
I like the look of the front bumper, especially since no trimming is required. Price is nice too w the exchange rate. I can bolt stuff together, but I don't have welding experience....how much to have the bumper welded? They need the vehicle, with the original bumper removed, all day as a...
That's how I got mine. Actually test drove 2 off craigslist, bought the 2nd, both had the same story.
"It's my wife's car, never been offroad, never towed anything, only selling it to get a brand new one." The dude kinda freaked out when I raised it and locked the diff. I think we've...
