For sure! I was just down in Mexico and they really seemed to be gaining in popularity. I wouldn't trade my LC for one but a Jimny would compliment it very well.
Sure, IFS handles better than a solid axle. Sway bars make them both better, that's why they've been around for so long. Unless you're more concerned about flexing.
I get that Kurt but they neglected use case. Which one will see more drivetrain stress? They should have made them all the same and changed ratios if needed.
I thought the 5th gen was ugly and still do. The 6th is even worse. I'm a 3rd/4th gen fan myself, I'm not crazy about the design language Toyota has adopted for the NA market, hence part of the reason why I'm in a 100.
