yeap ... same issues here.... Reverted to stock long time ago... right after realizing it just doesn't fit right for me.... I don't know if it was the same issue but for me it just didn't fit well... cable seemed a bit too long, the shock too long or...
Just go for the best V8 engines around... LS; choose one that fits your budget, you simply cannot go wrong with any LS.

I agree, the Ron Davis radiators are expensive (although "expensive" is a relative notion); however, the chances are that they will last forever, most likely will outlast the truck, whereas the chances that the OEM rad will need to be changed again in the life of the truck are very high... So...
